(ru) wrote: I think this would be called a Danish mondo film.Oppenheimer travelled to Indonesia to do a documentary on the Indonesian Killings where national socialists were killing communists and the Chinese for the sake of "unity" and "social justice." The Indonesian state hired thugs to carry these tasks out and this is a dramatization of what happened in the past as well as the the reign of terror being continued in the present. If this film doesn't bore you to death, you are not viewing it right. It's scary to see how the Indonesians idolized these gangsters with weird definitions (free man) as well as the celebration of violence as a justification of whatever means to achieve their fascist end. All I can say is, don't waste your time on this documentary with its twisted agenda or you will end up like me wanting to simply annihilate the God forsaken Indonesia as a whole.
(au) wrote: Quite disappointing, thought this would be funnier, instead it was sad! Watching a man trow his life away isn't comedy as much as a pathetic requiem!
(gb) wrote: I want to see it just to see how they act together.
(kr) wrote: The villain, the humor, and the action is all a bit subpar. France isn't as cool as either China or LA in this weaker sequel. Still fun.

(it) wrote: "Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol", the fourth film in the popular series, has some laughs here and there, but the series started to wear out its welcome. "Police Academy 4" isn't real bad, but some of the humor became too juvenile which was even more evident in the next two "Police Academy" movies. One point of interest: Sharon Stone makes one of her early film appearances here before she hit it big in movies such as "Total Recall", "Basic Instinct", and "Casino".

(de) wrote: Feel good movies are fun, but this was a little bit boring.. Heather Graham was cute as Mandy, but this wasn't Colin Firths best performance..

(br) wrote: Good movie, but not great. The scenes with Michael Cera and Jonah Hill are the best and funniest scenes. Especially Jonah Hill, who really knows how to act like a disgusting seventeen year old. Another thing I liked about it is the look of the movie. Its a throw back to the 70's. The clothes, the hair, the way it was shot.
