The full year duration of the film puts you in the shoes of sustenance living in truly rough conditions. The experience made me wonder deeply upon how we carry forward primitive traditions like killing animals and fish in part because at times human expansion into undeveloped areas or trying times required it to survive.

Adam M (de) wrote: Great cast but mediocre plot. Stone did the same story again and again the final is almost like a fairy tale.

Jonathan A (us) wrote: While this installment may not be as blatantly horrendous or poorly made as The Next Generation was, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is absolute trash. Vile, depressing and deplorable in every regard, this is one of the all-time worst movies that I've ever had the misfortune of seeing. If you want to make a good horror film, try making your characters a little relatable. The cast members themselves are likable enough overall, R. Lee Ermey and Matt Bomer in particular give good performances, though the problem lies with the characters. These guys make some of the stupidest decisions I've ever seen on-screen. It's hard to be scared when you can't even relate to the characters, so the only thing the film has left going for it are the gore scenes which are grotesque and upsetting. This movie deserves to be massacred, and it can burn in hell for the rest of eternity too.
Callie M (ru) wrote: Jamie Lee Curtis pretty much just screams her way through this movie. The message is confused and the humor is forced at times as is the saccharine sentimentality. But it isn't the worst Christmas movie and Tim Allen and Dan Aykroyd are entertaining.

Preston E (au) wrote: Alien: Resurrection is my least favorite film in the series. It's really the only time I've just said what so many times during a movie. I don't understand how some hate 3, but like this one. Given it's not a large number of people, bit enough to address. Yes Alien 3 has its problems, but this one, this one was hard to accept in the same universe as the others. I mean Weyland-yutani was bought out by Wal-Mart? It just seemed like a parody almost of the series. I really would have preferred that they didn't have Ripley in the movie and had a new protagonist. I did love the ideas it had though. Military finally got the creatures, cloning, and a few other things, but they seemed oddly executed. All in all, it's an odd and, to me, an unsatisfactory addition to an otherwise amazing film series.

Halimali H (gb) wrote: Now this is a movie that tries to be artistic but fails to be even a close one. Simply the movie is about two writers and how they become enemies of eachother. The movie is really boring and if you are not fully awake do not watch it because you will fell sleep.
Jennifer B (au) wrote: The plot doesnt really start until about 20 min of musical montages have been performed. There is quite the stellar cast, some performances better than others, but if you like musical numbers, you may enjoy this if you have the patience to sit through it. I found it nice to see Angela Lansbury, to see a couple other good performers I never knew about, and of course Frank Sinatra at the very end, but it was a little rough getting through some of them and the storyline is rather weak. Aside from this, it is a traditionally respectful tribute to the music writer Jerome Kern.
