(it) wrote: Occasionally funny but I don't think it's worth a rewatch. Decent background noise, though.
(fr) wrote: It's a tragic and sad story of organized and systematic abuse of young innocent children. Three cheers for Margaret Humphreys (and Emily Watson's portrayal). The world needs more selfless, compassionate and caring people like her.
(ca) wrote: Can't believe that I sit through this. Terrible. Not one redeeming quality. Overall grade F - FAILS!
(de) wrote: it could have had more bang but it has some solid performances all over and feels very real.
(jp) wrote: Quite easily one of the worst films I have ever seen. What this film proved once and for all is that Jason Lee cannot carry a film by himself. While Lee is an underrated actor, even he cannot overcome a horrible script, horrendous directing, and Tom Green. Why people think Tom Green is funny is still a mystery to me. This film's premise is weak and it completely wasted the talents of Richard Jenkins, the always funny Dennis Farina, Megan Mullally, and underrated (and cute) Leslie Mann. The only good thing about this film is it was under 90 minutes long but it is still an hour plus of my life wasted, time I will never get back. Do not even bother watching this film because it will be worse than disappointing.
(nl) wrote: First 20 minutes are gold. The rest is awkward, the pieces never coming together. The film wants to be weird and off beat and it is, only with a moral center that is at times perplexing, as if it means to say more but never got around to telling you what it is.

(fr) wrote: A guy's movie. O'Hara is so cute and feisty. And the pirate king Morgan was very amusing as he had to put up with foppish island council and made his wise cracks re: O'Hara--e.g. "that idiot child" And, of course, lots of shipboard fighting. I could have done without the "3 times" soppy bit--It ruined that attractive edge of O'Hara's character.
