Ihra L (us) wrote: Dette er ikke en film man ser med vilje, er det vel? Men TV`en stod p og det var seint. Denne er bde ekkel og teit. Innslagene av magi og surrealisme hjelper ikke i det hele tatt. Takk for ingenting, Penelope.

Matthew S (es) wrote: Although Alan Parker gives it his best shot, Madonna lacks the cinematic pretense and vocal abilities that this role required. And, interestingly, the plays satire of it's Fascist leading character has somehow been fizzled down to a vague sort of criticism.

Bill M (jp) wrote: Vice Squad is a gloriously nasty little bit of filthy early eighties sleaze, a lean, squalid vicious neon noir crime thriller. Concerning a prostitute trying to survive a night on the job being hunted down by the brilliant named and utterly terrifying psychopathic pimp Ramrod (played by the possibly even more brilliantly named Wings Hauser, who also supply's the movie's great opening rock tune "Neon Slime") Ramrod is the real standout element here, easily one of the best screen villains ever, an almost impossibly horrible, slimy, brutal, feral monster who is completely mesmerizing thanks to Hauser's fantastic and full on, raw performance. Season Hubley too is really good as luckless prostitute Princess. There's just this great grubby vibe to this film, it feels a bit unsafe and dirty, especially viewing it on VHS (this movie is either really hard to get on dvd or extortionate in price if you can) which adds to the un-glossy, grindhouse aesthetic. A hard edged, willfully unpleasant and thrillingly suspenseful gem of 80's trash cinema.

neil L (jp) wrote: Drunken Master is a very dumb story that lacks a coherent ending. But I love it because of its incredible kung fu styles. Jackie chan has to learn eight different styles based on eight drunken gods. My favorite part is when he does the monkey style. Very funny. I liked the retro feel of the film. I like to get Chinese takeout and watch movies like this one.

Dean M (fr) wrote: It is a good combination to have strong John Wayne together with attractive Sophia Loren in an adventure-romance film, which was complemented with the acting of the Italian Rossano Brazzi.Brazzi fares worst, being unconvincing as a rival to Wayne and as a romantic match for Loren. Pay close attention to the fist fight among the three adventurers.
