This was before I watched any real-classic horror movies like A Nightmare On Elm Street or Jason Voor or The Exorcist. Thinking that maybe my nostalgia may make me bias against this film was stubborn. It was okay as B-Slasher, but when they waste a chance to make something, then make it something below normal, I think is a waste of money and time. You can see no-body was trying even a little with this.

Jayakrishnan R (ag) wrote: 54%Saw this on 15/01/15Another Earth is not even half as compelling or intriguing as I Origins, well it's an improvement for director Mike Cahill, but sadly I saw the latter at first. If suddenly a planet( it doesn't have to another Earth) popped up in front of us that we could see it all day as big as what they show in the film's posters, everything would change, right from gravity, tides, climate, seasons, weather and we would totally be in a way towards extinction. However, the senseless Sci-fi film fails to even consider these facts and day by day the planet gets real damn close to Earth. That itself is a failure. Another Earth is passable or to the most mildly enjoyable as a drama film owing to the performance of it's leads especially Brit Marling, but as a sci-fi film it's an utter disappointment. It leaves too many questions unanswered and has a vaguely unexplained ending.

Akramul i (nl) wrote: everything the coen brothers'es first film should have been. On top of their black humour and eccentric characters, this movie is unique as a biographical film. This is because it shows no struggle during the historic event, doesn't dramatise them and shows them in a way that makes you really care about what happens to character till the very end.
Raji K (mx) wrote: Romani Polanski directs the tragedy Tess. Tess is a poor British girl who realizes shes actually of an old rich family. She seeks out her heritage only to find it bought out by a wealthier family. Her beauty attracts her would be cousin who eventually rapes her. The rest of the film bears tragedy on Tess as she carries this burden among many other things along with her. Tess is the ultimate tragic film and is one depressing moment after another. It is not enough to make one cry, but it is as dreary as a film can get. The film is excessively long, and quite a burden, but certainly hits the spot in a dull moment. Nastassja Kinski is beautiful and carries the film extremely well as her innocent look make all the tragedy that falls upon all the more tragic.
