Michael Douglas I have never been a fan of, and he's totally decrepit and kind of an ass here, so difficult to be cheering him on as a romantic hero. Diane Keaton is fine. She does seem to play the same character over and over, though. I didn't like a lot of the supporting characters. Those screaming little boys, honestly, I'm surprised it was the dog he shot at. The chain smoking old hag and the ex druggie son. I don't even get what that little plot was doing in the movie. The grand daughter was okay. I also didn't really buy that he was loaded, but he wanted to live in that tiny apartment with the screaming kids (ditto new baby - btw, the birth scene also did not belong and could have done without it. Seriously why?? The mother was barely a character and it added nothing to the story). and this after he "got" Diane. Ffs, use your money and buy a house! Hmmm... It was okay....as you can see, a few things annoyed me. An older audience might enjoy.

Y lo anterior es, precisa y curiosamente, todo lo contrario a lo que se vio por televisin.Ms que una pelcula, es una sucesin de eventos frvolos, carentes de emocin alguna, similares a un resumen atropellado.

It has all the evergreen character's self pitty journalist, a little fat accompanion, a nice whookers, corrupt politicans and policemen blended in a hunt for land property ownership. This movie fails to define itself as a thriller because of the character's lack of seriouness and fails to be a black comedy due to lack of cynical situations and jokes. It is stucked in the middle with nowhere to go. The story is messy, with loose ends, few times boobies are flashed to turn the attention away and hey imagine in the end all fits in place, and the police is the most corrupt! Decent try but needs much more to be a more serious contender.

(it) wrote: Has a decent cast, but a overused plot. There's so many movies were guys go and hunt down the killer of their friend or someone they loved, it's become a kids sub-genre of movies. This is like most of the rest, although it has four adopted brothers. Of course they think the cops are useless, and of course the detectives are corrupt, so they go around town threatening to kill people for information. The real world dosent work like that anymore, you can't do what they do and get away with it. People are killed, severly hurt, and the police don't come after tge guys who did it. The story is ok, not original, with its share of expected and unexpected events. The action seems rushed, with poor effects, gun sounds and flashes. The acting is good, but by no means the best preformances by any of the actors. The movie got off a little too quick in my opinion, with the execution happening in the first scene, so we never get to know Ma, and I think it would have been better had we got to know and love her before her tragic death. Some characters weren't likeable or needed to be there and at times it was confusing to why something was happening. So the movie wasn't bad, it was just on par with most others like it, and could have been much better.
