(gb) wrote: Outstanding! The actors played very well, the spooky sound covering the whole film evokes the brilliant scary athmosphere and the end is some sort of kafkaesk. It's not that good as let's say V/H/S or REC - but definitely one of the best horror movies I've seen in the last couple of years.

I was not impressed witht the flow & could have been shortened a good 20 minutes by taking out all the non-relevant footage with music. I was a little thrown by the Christian song to end it as well, didn't think it fit at all.

"Cinema is a visual art", this Singapore masterpiece by Eric Khoo screams at us suddenly with brief moments of the harshness of life, which can never be denied. You may argue with either the narrative structure (true, it exists since silent features) and with the topic that makes circulate every story in order to interact with an endlessly inter-connected world: love. Now I say to you: Bring me a better sample of the same decade with the same focus handled with such subtlety, inspiration and honesty, and I'll gladly discuss openly.97/100
(kr) wrote: a surprisingly really good b movie action pic from big dolph. more surprising is he actually directed and wrote it!! Gven a decent budget i really think he cpould come up with some decent brainless action for the big screen. the film has some decent gun fights and is quite violent, my main flaw for me is u dont get to see big dolph beat the crap out of that many people, but when he does its magic. for fans of low budget action this is a must see and puts everything segal has done over the past 10 years to shame.

(ca) wrote: It's Halloween time, so I've decided to watch some Halloween films of the non-scary variety. Idle Hands may not be a terrible movie, but it's also not all that memorable. There doesn't seem like too much of a purpose to it all. Reminiscent of the Evil Dead films, this film subtly sprinkles comedy over the horror, but still doesn't invoke many laughs. But as nostalgia, we can look back and somewhat appreciate this film for what it is. It serves as a nice addition to the cult halloween movie genre. It's seldom laugh-out-loud, and it's also not terribly quotable. However, the cast is fun to watch and it's far from boring. Idle Hands is so goofy that it just works.Twizard Rating: 74
