Paul D (ag) wrote: The mood and atmosphere work well, but it's lacking in interest value. The setting borrows from movies such as Poltergeist and ET, with the new neighbourhoods being built in the California desert giving it a slightly creepier lonely feel.

Benny G (es) wrote: This is a good movie but is shit next to the anime.

Shey D (au) wrote: this movie is hella sad. i cried like every fifteen minutes. i really understood the love between family

mike h (kr) wrote: this is a play, and one ryans best most intense roles shes pretty amazing she doesn't do this much, and the rest of the cast rocks too, its a powerful movie, not for everyone, its edgy.

Ben R (it) wrote: Every American should watch this movie. We must not be afraid to question our government when they violate constitutional rights of people and murder innocent children.

Aaron C (ca) wrote: lazy rubbish from a director whos better than this, enough jimmy cliff songs to make you want to kill yourself (or Jimmy Cliff)

Shawn W (de) wrote: Unimaginatively titled adventure film that consistently fell short of its own seemingly grand aspirations. I never really cared what happened to any of the main characters. Subpar to even most of the Italian adventure films of the time that tried to capitalize on the success of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Valerie M (es) wrote: Aside from the brilliant decision to dress Edith Massey in a riding outfit, I didn't care for this film. I loved Tab Hunter for putting on such a ridiculous outfit, and the hilariousness of the line "I discovered macrame!" aside, I wouldn't watch it again.

Eric N (es) wrote: Pretty cool, but it`s filmmaking from another time. If you can handle that, it`s great. It is probably only for big cinema fans and sci-fi fans cause it`s a little too artsy. But at least it`s not something anybody`ll forget. It surely influenced Terry Gilliam, Spielberg, even Kubrick I bet. It goes hand in hand with 1984, Brazil and Equilibrium. The director`s cut hugely helps it because it`s already pretty bizarre - it provides much better world building and communication with the viewer. I prefer sci-fi like 12 Monkeys and Oblivion but this is quite a classic similar to 2001: A Space Odyssey and Alien.

Ben S (kr) wrote: A pulp fiction novelist investigates his friend's death in post-WW2 Vienna and finds himself entangled in black-market intrigues. Bleak to the point of depressing but at the same time beautiful and blackly humourous. Plenty of food for thought to chew over afterward as this film stays with you for a while.

Cecilie B (us) wrote: My first encounter with Rudolph Valentino - the name I've heard of for as long as I can remember but never watched a film with. It's clear to see his magnetic, sensual screen presence, and 'Blood And Sand' is an entertaining movie with a clear message about bull fighting which matches my own opinion 100%! A good albeit not brilliant movie, and I can't wait to dive deeper into the career of Mr. Latin Lover himself.
