Cameron W (gb) wrote: Loved the film, liked the plot and the cast of characters. Disney turned a unknown superhero team popular with a tv show coming out soon. Can't wait!

Rex A (br) wrote: Krasinski and Rudolph have surprisingly great chemistry and, of course, the film benefits from an appearance by the always-hilarious Jim Gaffigan. The film starts out strong (I'm talking 4.5-star material) as a funny and emotionally searching look at a drifting couple. Toward the end, though, the film diverts into some melodramatic and overly quirky themes that take it down a grade. The conclusion remains strong, though. Could've been better overall, but I was satisfied. Give it a look.

Jen T (gb) wrote: The fact that this movie was even made in the first place is a miracle. Great casting and EXCELLENT acting, editing, and directing. The surreal interludes are delightful surprises. So is the subtle hint of the underlying "boy's club" culture. Excellent script - I know and like all characters. A well done film.

Chris A (ru) wrote: It's certainly not a bad film, but it is a bit too fluffy to work when it trys to get serious. Beware though, you see Bob Hoskins' penis.

Shehwar H (nl) wrote: Good sunday film. Paz Vega is a treat to watch!

Aaron M (ag) wrote: Really poor attempt at the classic novel. I appreciate the change on the adaptation, Tim Burton really took chances to make the story his own with his own visual style. It didnt really work for me and seriously lacked the charm of the original.

Jeffrey C (jp) wrote: I just kept thinking how old school was the film from the beginning until last 15 mins. Oh... what an amazing endling. It taught us about love in a differnt way.

Dave J (nl) wrote: Tuesday, June 18, 2013 (1994) Silent Fall PSYCHOLOGICAL MYSTERY Parents are found dead with the only survivors found are their two kids who are the older teenage daughter Sylvie played by Liv Tyler and her 7 or 8 year old autistic son Tim(Ben Faulkner). Here comes criminal psychologist Dr. Jake Rainer (Richard Dreyfuss) who has a PHd in dealing with mentally challenged children and is supposed to be retired but one his best friends Sheriff Mitch Rivers ( J.T. Walsh ) encourages his social skills to help him solve it by helping Tim to recall the events that lead up to their parents death since he may have been a witness for the whole ordeal. And because he's like 100% autistic, Dr. Jake is the only person who can expose this by reasonable means instead of using drugs and other experimental tactics used by his radical associate Dr. Rene Harlinger played by John Lithgow. I was totally sucked up to this movie because their isn't many films that focuses on "autistic" children to solve a case for I think this film is the first. The procedures for which this film has showed is at times quite enlightening since we the viewers may have suspect who had done it but at the same time don't quite know how it's done until the very end. The movie also stars Linda Hamilton as Karen Rainer as Jake's wife. 3 out of 4 stars

Steven L (fr) wrote: This was more melodramatic than I expected, but the over-the-top story was matched by the intense imagery, color, and themes. Described by some as a morality play, it shows us how freedom of choice has undesired consequences, especially in a time and culture where life is dictated more than lived. The makeshift transportation for a paralyzed character was especially creepy; that was balanced by the ingenuity of the mechanics behind the 1920s dye mill.

jay n (it) wrote: Fun filled and witty this is well acted by all and breezily directed but the whole thing is stolen by the wonderfully dotty Margaret Rutherford.
