Burcu B (ca) wrote: A good documentary about planned obsolescence. Recommended.

Darrin S (ca) wrote: Michael Sheen and Maria Bello give outstanding performance that lift this filmup from what could've been a Lifetime Channel movie.

James M (ca) wrote: Dirty Dancing meets Bend It Like Beckham with snowboards, starring beautiful English rose Felicity Jones as a poor London girl who takes a job as hired help at a ski chalet, where in-between being in the service of a bunch of posh twats she practices snowboarding for an upcoming contest.Though the script is turgid, predictable and quite irresponsible, the film succeeds where it needs to, where Felicity Jones rises above all the dross with a shining leading performance which put her on the showbiz map. It's just a shame that the script called for her character to spending way too much time chasing a tedious pretty boy who doesn't deserve her.

Sylvester K (au) wrote: Malefique is a decent French supernatural horror film. Four prisoners sharing one cell discovered a book which could be the only hope of their escape, but the book contains more trouble than it seemed. It's a little bit slow but you get to know all of the characters and the special effects were magnificent too. Overall a nice little gem to understand the darkest secrets of people.

Sean S (us) wrote: An utter yawner and completely one-sided in its political leanings, this melodrama is simply not enjoyable at all. Aside from one or two imaginative lines of dialogue, the movie is angst-ridden, riddled with needless obscene language and goes over-the-top to the point of hilarity by portraying the members of HUAC as cigar-chomping, life-crushing villains.

Sharon D (jp) wrote: Directed by Jonathan Demme, this is without question the best concert documentary I've ever seen. David Byrne and his Talking Heads are in their prime here, and every song's a treat. 'Burning Down the House' is worth the rental alone - the best version I have ever seen or heard. If you haven't seen it, get it, especially if you're a child of the 80's. You'll be up and dancing in no time!
