Don S (kr) wrote: Predictable but watchable. Ryan is not bad, though this doesn't stretch her acting chops. The story has a message, as you'd expect from a Disney channel movie. Merely okay.

RJohn X (nl) wrote: the peasant girls are in danger in the woods again! Luckily for Caroline Munro, looking brilliant and acting through hair flips, the sword buckling master vampire killer is here. Captain Kronos, himself, is a bit of a dork. But he has a hunchback, academic assistant who is probably a Red Communist or at least a Trotskyite. Of course, you figure out who or WHOM is behind all the blood draining fairly quickly, but luckily the movie does not waste any time making you wait for the pay off. Great movie this one. Especially for the tree sitting stake outs and the weird dead frog traps.
Calib M (us) wrote: I decided to watch 'Patton', the all-time favorite film of JamesBerardinelli, someone i respect a lot, and someone who has a veryprofound taste in films, which i like, i always love reading hisreviews.Me, as usual going in to any movie with high hopes and highexpectation, since it is the #1 film of someone i respect, but boy, oboy was i disappointed. This is a lifeless, patriotic, American pieceof propaganda. In a very, very negative way. It has no redeemingqualities, and every battle scene you get showed, you don't care aboutwho gets bombed and gets shot at by infantry, because everyone thatgets killed in the battle scenes are faceless puppets, something anemotionally driven war picture needs. The whole movie is about George S. Patton, an eccentric andcontroversial American war general with a short fuse, you might thinkthat will result in some fantastic scenes. No, not really. The wholemovie is really about how great Americans are, and how great thismaniacal war general is, showing manly decisions, epic battles (battlesthat have no gravitas at all), how great he handles everything, etc, etc. Each scene in 'Patton' could've easily been cut 2 to 4 minutes, resulting in a dragging and overlong movie with an unneeded runtime of172 minutes. All in all, i still gave 'Patton' a 6/10 because George C. Scottundeniably gives a powerhouse performance, and i respect Franklin J.Schaffner a lot, attempting to make a memorable war picture.

Haytham K (br) wrote: "Frenzy" is considered by critics to be Hitchcock's last great film before his death. Here he delivers a film quite typical of his work-suspenseful, chilling, and often quite funny in a blackly humorous way. Every member of the all-British cast is extremely good, particularly Barbara Leigh-Hunt.
