Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS DU 7th L'ART! - May 3, 2013.

William H (ca) wrote: I actually really enjoyed this movie. The acting was good and it was nice to see Daniel Stern around again. The guy who places Otis was awesome. Well done!

Heather B (de) wrote: The previews to this movie were misleading. I walked out about 5 minutes into it.

Lauren T (jp) wrote: This movie has some brilliant moments - the son seeing the world from above, crying in a desolate field, and standing in the middle of a room at night staring out the window to see a ghost of himself below. It is both depressingly realistic and calculatedly symbolic, which in the end is too strong a combination to acheive anything very new or meaningful. But it is a quiet and painfully accurate portrait of a boy growing up with no direction home.

Joey S (kr) wrote: I don't what it was about this movie, but i just loved it and could watch it over and over and over asgain.

Brian S (ca) wrote: Boredom every minute. Lifeless acting, a nearly-incoherent plot, not a single likeable character, and the only potentially interesting character is in three scenes and is killed offs minutes before this tedious French twaddle finally comes to a pointless end. Angst, angst, spam, eggs and angst. People chewed on while having sex for no apparent reason other than vague reference to an illness, a scene in which a human brain is chopped up in a laboratory, and some amaranth growing in a greenhouse. Plodding, pointless awfulness from start to finish. Would someone please revive lead actor Vincent Gallo? He would appear to have been in a coma here.

Matej D (mx) wrote: Dafoe, Rourke and Mastrantonio are exceptional. Especially Rourke. The movie itself is a typical crime story, involving FBI and CIA and all that bullshit, but it's worth seeing because of great cinematography and that feeling of the 80's, though it was shot in the 90's.

Steve W (ag) wrote: Lauded as one of Allen's more underrated works, I felt this one was a turd. Out of the seven segments, I only found myself enjoying the last three, the public sex one, What's Your Perversion? the game show, and the final one with a look inside the body. I feel the other sketches were just not up par, which is the problem with anthology movies. There's always going to be a weaker part. I didn't like this one, and I do not consider it one of Woody Allen's better films.

Paul D (es) wrote: George Sanders plays a cunning, conniving and heartless immigrant to great effect as he is extremely unlikeable, but at the same time he creates a character who's scheming creates plenty of interest. The only downside to this crime drama is the debonair Englishness with which Sanders plays it, not at any point does he convince as a Czech immigrant - even when his mother arrives from Europe she is played with a relatively convincing accent.

Simon D (mx) wrote: I am a fan of cats and they are under-represented in animal cinema, so I thought I'd check this out. It was very mildly amusing and the cat didn't do a lot apart from run around a bit an miaow a lot. Disappointing.

Becky A (es) wrote: Great film. The best scene would be when Stan keeps bumping is head on the slanted ceiling, when he's trying to wash up. Olly tells him to move the wash basin by the window. While Stan is doing so, he is crawling on the floor. Then when he stands up, he still bumps his head. Later on, Olly is raving about something, and he too bumps his head. Stan says, "Why don't you go over by the window?""WHY DON'T YOU MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!"

Karlo B (ru) wrote: Awesome! ==D No really, two hours passed like an episode of a fun and entertaining sitcom. Mark Dacascos has some really sweet moves and the action is great. It's actually what would Rush Hour would be if Chris Tucker wasn't an annoying twat and Jackie Chan was as cool as Dacascos. One scene I particularly enjoyed was when the nigger and the other guy were fighting and the guy pulled out a whip and whipped the shit out of the black guy.And Brittany Murphy. She was so cute and adorable before she ended up on meth or whatnot.

Richard F (au) wrote: Okay, I can't explain why I love this movie so much. The pace of the unrealistic movie with little in the way of character development is fast but maybe it's best not to dwell on some of the sadness and just go forward the way it does. I found this fun although still don't know what's with the dog on the poster.
