Mister O (ru) wrote: Tense and harrowing (if not a little dated) survival film. Burt Reynolds is great as the douchey friend full of bravado who ends up getting the whole crew into trouble. Film reaches a crescendo in the middle (that scene) that it never really recovers from, and like a lot of films from this era it overstays it's welcome a little. Nevertheless a must see if you can handle the rough content, but bless the filmmakers to have the guts to take it places mainstream film hadn't gone in 1972.

The cast of suspects was varied and enjoyable, and a stunning finale was the highlight of the film. A lot of critics and viewers enjoy the witty banter between husband and wife, and I feel its like the icing on the cake. The murder mystery is the cake, the main part, and the icing is the sweet back and forth on top.

Cuba goosing jr, never quite seemed suited to this character to me, whilst the rest of the cast were. A nostalgic watch from teen days

Andrew L (fr) wrote: This is a really cute, fun movie. It's an action comedy, so don't take it too serious. It's rather tongue in cheek. Cruise is his usual over the top action hero and Diaz plays really well off of him. I think I liked it so much because it's very playful and just wants to have some fun.
