Sarfaraj A (nl) wrote: a fresh film to make you feel good and smile in parts, a fresh pair with excellent H2O chemistry, great fresh performances which will light you up if you are feeling low, predictable but still a different touch to it and a lot of fresh dialogues which many will be able to relate to.
Marvin James C (ru) wrote: It's worth noting that the film is based on a different setting. So people must remember that cultural backgrounds may be a bit unsettling and confusing. Nonetheless, the film exerts genuine acting and simple scenes that may be all to familiar. Making this film engaging and touching in a sense. With its nostalgic cinematography and convincing cast. The film is very recommended.

Jon B (gb) wrote: really cool and absolutely beautifully filmed, but the science was lacking. I would have liked to see an explanation of some kind of investigation into the animals more, rather then just showing me what they look like.
Andrea P (de) wrote: I watched this movie for a French Film course. This movie is absolutely great, and I love how it deals with the tenants of Sufism. Also, I like how the movie embodies the German concept of bildungsroman, which essentially means a coming of age story. Monsieur Ibrahim is also very culturally innovative because it demonstrates that people can overcome rigid boundaries and differences between cultures.

Petros T (fr) wrote: The first great film to come from Jim: after the promising "Permanent Vacation" and "Stranger Than Paradise", the decent "Down By Law" and the underwhelming "Mystery Train", he can be seen flying really high for the first time. With an excellent cast (Rowlands, Ryder, Esposito, De Bankol (C) and Benigni being the best) and great dialogues, this is a totally succesful film: most segments grab you immediately and even the ones that don't surely make up for it in the end. Laughs, sadness and humanity.
