The Veil

The Veil

The story springs from the real-world headlines of religious cults and mass suicides. With Veil, it begins 30 years ago, when members of a religious cult known as Heaven's Veil take their own lives. The truth behind what really happened remains buried deep in the memory of the sole survivor, a five-year-old girl, who returns to the compound with a documentary crew as an adult. They soon discover something that is far more terrifying than anything they could have imagined.

Thirty years after religious cult members commit suicide, Sarah, the lone survivor, returns to the scene with a documentary crew. What none of them yet realizes is that even though the cult is dead, their curse most certainly is not. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

He becomes civilized again before falling back in with his original tribe, settling down with an Indian, and raising a family. Custer invades his people and spares him. He serves as a scout for Custer until he gets an opportunity for revenge."You are back in the bosom of your family."Arthur Penn, director of Missouri Breaks, Bonnie & Clyde, The Miracle Worker, Dead of Winter, Night Moves, Target, and The Chase, delivers Little Big Man. The storyline for this picture is entertaining, fun to watch unfold, and occasionally funny. The script is interesting and doesn't take itself too seriously. The cast delivers solid performances and includes Dustin Hoffman, Faye Dunaway, Richard Mulligan, Kelly Jean Peters, and Jeff Corey."Don't make any moves unless you want a little daylight in your liver."I came across this on Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and decided to DVR it. This was better than average and a fun western picture. This movie doesn't take itself too seriously and "fun" is the best adjective I could use to describe this. This isn't perfect but is worth a viewing."I've never been invisible before."Grade: B-

James S (fr) wrote: 'Transsiberian' is another thriller that has gone relatively under the radar, yet it is turns out to be a tense and enjoyable watch. The plot generally limits itself to the confines of a long haul train, travelling through the depths of Russia. I enjoyed this gritty environment, and it made for some tense action. The characters are introduced and developed well; diving into their personalities and background. Despite this only being some 7 years old at the time of writing this, I did get the impression that it felt quite dated. Whether or not this is a bad thing is debatable, as it was perhaps nice to see a thriller stripped back to basics. All in all 'Transsiberian' was a unique and entertaining watch, and one that I would recommend.
