Various tensions between sensuality and repression, family and the state, and too many more to mention play out over the course of a short story. While not a masterpiece, Circumstance is nicely drawn and worth a look, especially if you are unfamiliar with Persian culture.

Elgan D (ca) wrote: A glimpse into the lives of modern day Indiana High School students. The major problem with this documentary is how much influence the camera being there would have had on the subjects. The level of authenticity that is on show her is roughly equivalent to the likes of 'The Hills'. The personalities of the pupils are diverse enough to keep the viewers interested even with these criticisms though.

Ian L (ru) wrote: Utter rubbish. I watched this on an aeroplane because I like Jude Law and Richard E. Grant. What were they thinking when they agreed to do this? There was clearly no budget, so it wasn't for the money. The script was terrible, Jude Law was doing a hammed up version of Tom Hardy in Bronson (which I highly recommend), there was no story to speak of, except that Law's character was a very horrible man that no viewer could possibly care about. Dreadful, dreadful, dreadful. 0 stars.

Serge L (jp) wrote: Very well done of course. The story seems a bit forced though. Like mismatched bricks, the bits of story lead to the end result wanted. Definitely a film for children. A couple of funny moments. Overall enjoyable but left me wanting more and more accurate depictions of the characters. Everybody was too joky, especially the dinosaur! Not serious. ;-)
