Angela R (us) wrote: I'm not sure how much this documentary would appeal (or at times even make sense) to people who don't already like Big Star, but it also seems like maybe it should be required viewing for anyone who has listened to pop/rock music from the last 40 years.

Cliff J (fr) wrote: The action is jaw dropping. The film is beautiful. The protagonist is compelling. But this movie kinda reminded me of Rocky IV...except this time the Russians were the Japanese. So it was really exceptional Chinese propaganda, but it was still kinda Chinese propaganda. That said, if someone told me they were interested in a martial arts film, I would not hesitate to recommend.

Michael Y (de) wrote: Very well done film set in the period of Tito's Yugoslavia; specifically, the period when Yugoslavia breaks away from the rest of the Iron Curtain. A family gets caught up in the turmoil of the times as the father gets sent to a labor and reeducation camp for making a careless remark about a newspaper cartoon. The title of the movie refers to the mother's euphemism for the father's detainment, when she tries to explain the father's situation to the youngest son.

Gabe S (gb) wrote: Some claim it is the most heinous movie ever made, some say it is the greatest. Honestly, it's just revolting, and grotesque. No one should ever watch this movie. It is a disgusting excuse of a movie, and should certainly be banned everywhere.

Ryan S (de) wrote: Man do I love that scene when the alien pops out of Kane's stomach! Overall, Alien is a great movie! I loved the connection between Ridley and Dallas. Also, the alien's looks so real! You're not going to believe who Ash actually is!
