Well, the end creeped me out I guess. This new version of it is definitely a lot more creepier and the ending far more freakier by far. Still has its share of bad acting and stupid as hell characters, but I was genuinely spooked out here. I'd say this is better than your average jump scare horror film, but it's not in the same league as The Shining or The Exorcist. Way better than the Paranormal Activity movies at least.

(kr) wrote: This movie does not just address the use of psychomarmaceuticals in children but in adults with developed brains as well- not at all what i expected from the synopsis. It crosses the line from science to speculation in a very dangerous way. While I agree that psychopharmaceuticals are grossly overused and often misused in children, to exert causation (not just correlation) between psychiatric medications and homicide in people of all ages is just as unbacked by actual science as are the reasons the film attacks for their use in the first place. The film asserts that the criteria for diagnoses of conditions such as ADHD and BPD are merely anecdotal in nature- but this film is entirely anecdotal in it's analysis. There are most definitely some drugs whose use is far too great a risk in terms of suicidal ideation or behavior and these drugs should indeed be removed from the market and/or supervision of patients using said medications should be close and frequent. But to lump all medications together and label them as dangerous for both children AND adult is overly simplistic. Films like this deter people from seeking help- even if the help they require is indeed not medication but is rather talk-therapy based as opposed to somatic in nature.

This brought lots of action, thrills, suspense and good fights. My favourite scene is outside the airport where the hired assassin was taken out after Booker's girlfriend (Anne Archer) was killed in the plane bomb and Booker (Norris) went after him before he got into the Toyota Celica, and tried to run over Booker. In which Booker returned and delivered the awesome flying dropkick to the windshield killing the assassin. I later found out that the stunt was done by his brother Aaron.
