Matthew S (es) wrote: 3.5/5. Fascinating documentary which chronicles the rise of Whitey Bulger as a criminal force and homicidal psychopath, his escape from the closing net of the law and his subsequent capture and trial just a few years ago. Several facets of the case are examined in detail and sensationalism is avoided. Engaging and surprising, even if it could have been a little more creatively put together.

Benajmin R (it) wrote: A big Improvement of degeneration and the best resident evil film to date.

Isaac D (it) wrote: Offbeat, low budget, campy, and foolish, I could have liked this as an indie fil, except that it was too annoying. It gets too caught up in the quirky Woody Allen-style romance to be effective, and I hated the ending. If you ignore the broken "sop and incoherent plot, the fun that these actors had while doing the film is evident.

Mahir T (nl) wrote: Don't watch the movie if you are breathing low!

Nathalie D (nl) wrote: A good flick for a Laura Linney fan (which I am in a big way). Very moody and not really so much about a murder as it is about relationships and people finding out what really lies beneath the day-to-day surface of things. The last scene was...odd and left me feeling unsatisfied. Worth a watch if you get really into character study films.

Sumon D (mx) wrote: at the start i was getting the impression that delving deep into its leads was going to be paramount in this film but then crime-drama took over.

Roderick M (nl) wrote: I don't know why I like this film so much but it is a cute film

Michele A (nl) wrote: Very nice and delicate film!

Wes S (ag) wrote: The effects are great, but the characters and plot is pretty stale. The ending is a bit meager and the action doesn't take off enough. There aren't a lot of monster scenes, but each one is pretty memorable.

Brandon S (gb) wrote: THE AMAZING MR. X is a consistent, suspenseful, and visually stunning piece of lost cinema. This was a very pleasant surprise.

Matt H (es) wrote: Amazing movie, still as funny and thrilling as it was when fist released. Harold Lloyd is just fantasic, a great comedic performance. Technically the climbing scenes are amazingly good and hold up perfectly today. Really looks like he's high up, and the way the scenes were filmed were still dangerous and groundbreaking. For being 90 years old, the film still looks fantastic, too. The jokes/gags still mostly hold up as well, it's still a very funny movie.

Zachary M (gb) wrote: When talking about studio interference, this movie tends to come to mind more so than almost anything else, for me. A grim and dark ending to a grim and dark story is kind of what is called for, but sometimes the studio wants a happy ending and often the studio gets what it wants. As it stands to watch the movie is brought down by its new ending, keeping the original wouldn't have made too much of a difference over all, but it would have made an at least noticeable one.

Edward C (us) wrote: Magic In The Moonlight(2014)Starring: Emma Stone, Colin Firth, Hamish Linklater, Marcia Gay Harden, Jacki Weaver, Erica Leerhsen, Eileen Atkins, Simon McBurney, and Catherine McCormackDirected By: Woody AllenReviewHello Kiddies your pal the Cupid Critic here, with a magical romantic comedy from Alvy himself Woody Allen with my future wife Emma Stone and Colin Firth.Chinese conjuror Wei Ling Soo is the most celebrated magician of his age, but few know that he is the persona of Stanley Crawford(Colin Firth) a grouchy and arrogant Englishmen with a sky-high opinion of himself and an aversion to phony spiritualists' claims. Persuaded by his friend Howard Burkan(Simon McBurney) Stanley goes on a mission to the Cote D' Azur mansion of the Cateledge family: mother Grace(Jackie Weaver) son Brice(Hamish Linklater) and daughter Caroline((Erica Leershin). He presents himself as a businessman named Stanley Taplinger in order to debunk young clairvoyant Sophie Baker(Emma Stone) who is staying there with her mother(Marica Gay Harden). Sophie arrived ate Cateledge villa invitation of Grace, who is conceived that Sophie can contact her late husband, and once there, attracted the attention of Brice, who has fallen head over heels for her.The film was that of a novelty I like the way it is, the way it feels, I would just be listening to Colin Firth and think to myself I hope he doesn't debunk her. It would go on with many scenes with him and stone and when they were on screen I adored it. It's goal here is to supply that the world is a mystery and I believe it is.In the opening of the picture you see Stanley's Wei Ling Soo performance which he believes is all a set of trickery, he believes in science and prefers to analyze and Debunk those worship God and see's life as cruel, short and un-meaningful.The direction from Woody Allen is taking with that same approach he took with Blue Jasmine where he tried to direct a picture about a sad and non pessimistic character who views life as one tragedy after another and I hope he keeps making films with characters like those I sometimes feel life is that way.Magic in The Moonlight doesn't have that magical touch as some of Mr. Allen's other pictures it brings in an interesting story of wit and charm with the ordains of sadness in life, I give Magic in The Moonlight a three out of five.

Trevor K (au) wrote: Bad, for a found footage movie. This statement alone should be read as "Spend your time watching something better". The film adds it's own facts to a real life haunting and tapes together pieces of memorable cinematic moments in horror films that people would actually LIKE to watch. I will give it props for it's attempt to add some visual effects (a waste of budget, but good attempt nonetheless). Overall, this film is not worth the time of any human soul. The episode of "Truth Or Scare" about the Bell Witch Haunting will leave you with more jitters than this piece of garbage.
