Cade H (nl) wrote: The first half of the movie had me worried. This "found footage" home video camera style film focused on a group of friends traveling across the country visiting haunted houses and documenting it all. It all started out a little slow with little jokes and un-scary trips through haunted houses. After awhile a couple scares and creepy moments were thrown in but it still did not add up to much, it was just a big lead up of anticipation for something. The final 20 minutes however were incredibly scary and had me on the edge of the couch, drawn into the movie just waiting to see what fate awaited everyone. The camera footage got a little crazy at the end and it seemed like they didn't take advantage of everything they had going but it got down right creepy. Not all of the scares worked but the ones that did were great. If you are into the found footage style horror movies, this one should be a treat and scare anyone a little too.

Nathan M (es) wrote: Or Dharma and Greg Go To College...This is nothing more than an unfunny Odd Couple film that has a few solid moments from Garcia and the two Farmiga's. Unfortunately the only thing that makes this film watchable is also what ruins any comedic moment. Both Garcia and Farmiga play caricatures of the usual "odd couple" roles that all of the comedy doesn't come out of a genuine place. Instead it all feels forced, and, therefore, completely unfunny. The romance doesn't work either, because it's completely unbelievable. Writer/director Adam Rogers doesn't convince you that these two people have had enough time to move past the other people in their lives, and cling on to each other. Even if they're both going through a pivotal moment in their life, you don't believe they would be drawn to each other.Luckily, there are still a couple of moments where the characters live up to the potential the two powerhouse actors bring to the roles. One scene, in particular, when Garcia and Farmiga are in an acting class, and begin to share their deepest fears and desires, although completely forced and contrived, carries the film out of boredom. But only for a moment, because Rogers lets everything fall back into convention, and the movie continues to slog on.This is another film that if you were stuck in a hotel room on a rainy vacation day you might find some merit in the film, but anyone who has anything better to do with their day probably will be bored with this film.

Josh M (ag) wrote: I will start by saying that I absolutely love Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. They are extremely talented and funny (and gorgeous.) They are two of the best comedians out there and have been super, super successful in everything they do (30 Rock, Parks and Recreation) That being said...This movie isn't good. It's not funny in any way. I laughed once, during a drunk dance sequence, half-way through, and that's it. Add the fact the the story is predictable, and the supporting cast is forgettable, and you have a movie I won't ever watch again or recommend to anyone else to see. That sounds harsh, and I know there is a million movies worse, but it's honestly a waste of nearly 2hrs. Tina plays her typical straight-laced business woman to Poehler's 'zany' foil. It's not exciting and it genuinely feels like they are simply going through the motions. I really expected something outrageous and smart with both of them on the screen together, but there's nothing. Because of Fey's and Poehler's track record, I'm putting the blame on the script and the director.

Johnny R (fr) wrote: Wow, what an incredible experience!! It was action-packed, intense, engaging, heart-pounding, and heart-warming!! It will have you gripping your seat from beginning to end!! The fight scenes were absolutely crazy!! It shows what a man will do when he gets framed and goes to jail for something he didn't even do!! The ending definitely caught me off guard and will make you cry or your eyes watery!! The cast was perfect, especially Michael Jai White!! He gives such a break-neck performance that you will wonder why he isn't a major action star by now!! He literally perfects his role and makes you feel so bad for him and will make you cheer him on, on the decisions he makes!! He is one of the best action stars of all-time and definitely deserves more recognition!! If you like intense fight movies, than this will feel like Christmas!! If you want to see a final fight that will not be long, than you will be disappointed because it was rather short!! This is far more superior than the first one in every possible way imaginable!! This is one of the best fight movies of all-time!! This is very much a must-see!!

Richard D (fr) wrote: I am not a fan of Oliver Stone. While he has made films I like, for the most part I find him to be a crude, didactic storyteller who tells everything is really broad, loud strokes. "Wall Street" is not a film I actively dislike, but I don't find a lot to like. It's an overly simple morality tale that telescopes every plot development and constantly pulls it's subtext right to the surface with crude visual metaphors.

Monty H (gb) wrote: James Garner is LA private detective Marlowe who is hired by a young girl to find her missing brother. What starts as a simple job turns into a mystery involving a high profile Hollywood actress, a ruthless gangster, cops, strippers, and one questionable doctor. Garner is very smooth as Marlowe. The standouts in this film include a wow striptease and incredible performance by Rita Moreno, who is smoking hot and a face off between Marlowe and Bruce Lee in his film debut. Enjoyable enough. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dolores Gonzles: [responding, mid-striptease, to Philip Marlowe's question] The streets are paved with forgotten husbands!

Megan R (us) wrote: Yes, I am guilty. I watched this yesterday and it was a train wreck. I kept thinking it would get better but at the end of the picture my husband who so kindly endured it with me voiced, "that is an hour and a half of my life I will never get back." Not too far from the truth... it was pretty cheesy and exhausting the idea of the poor dumb blonde. She acts like a 10 year old innocent girl through out the movie as she is "wooed" into being used as property. Lesson well learned for young girls who misconstrue the celeb life for a woman to be a glamorous fairy tale. If I had a chance to see the movie again... I would pass and suggest you do too unless you like the dumb blonde air head movies.

Daniel Y (fr) wrote: Monsters Inc. is a film thats like every other pixar movie that you've come to expect at this point. It's funny, original, visually dazzling, and is down right entertaining for all ages that makes it one of the classic animated feature in Pixars line-up.
