The action is splendid, I do enjoy the dark tone, Hugh Jackman is perfect and I wanted a movie to focus on him, and this event with Time Travel is interesting. The movie can sometimes focus on Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, but its just a regular nitpick I have on the enjoyment thrill of this journey. Fun and enjoyment can be had and its super re-watchable( I bought it on DVD, so that's probably why).

Brian R (jp) wrote: Dick Cavett once asked Orson Welles, "Has a filmmaker has ever made a pornographic masterpiece?" and Welles replied..."I think it can only be a masterpiece of Pornography but not a masterpiece which was pornographic. In other words...if what you're after is to excite people sexually, over excite them or stimulate them, then it should be possible to make a film which is exciting and is therefore a masterpiece of excitation. But you cannot make a film masterpiece which is pornographic because the material is antipathetic to the film. You can get as dirty as you want but not also excite ppl because exciting ppl during the course of a story, exciting them sexually is changing the subject so completely that you have no more narrative form". Maybe that was what John Cameron Mitchell was trying to do and completely failed on the narrative. My mind isn't as open as others sexually I guess but for me, the characters have to somewhat spark my interest and they haven't in this film. Maybe if the sexual hippies wouldn't make sex such a big issue they might've been all the more merrier. NOTE: "Shame" is a much better, serious, polished film that deals with such sexual issues that has a very strong narrative. Highly recommended.

Spencer S (jp) wrote: A satire towards films that lean towards the pretentious; Schizopolis is a mishmash of a knowing of all things narrator, several different roles all portrayed by Steven Soderbergh, dubbing in three languages, bottomless elderly men, and a start and finish that will have you in peals of laughter. Mostly great for the humor, and artistic value, where you could find it, this basically unknown film is a treat to watch.

Jeremy N (de) wrote: Vincent Price at his villainous best in this story of witchcraft and lycanthropy which is in a similar vein to Michael Reeves' classic Witchfinder General.

Keenan S (us) wrote: Random Harvest is a fantastic romance film, as well as being a great drama. Unless most films involving amnesia premises, this one never feels ludicrous, nor does the film overplay emotions like most others will. The plot is engaging, the acting is superb, the music is wonderful, and there's never a dull moment to be had. It's a beautiful, heartwarming, and fantastic film that should be watched by anyone who loves a good romance or a good drama. Why this isn't more widely recognized, I'll never know.
