Remi L (fr) wrote: I remember seeing all this buzz for this movie back in high school and being very interested in seeing it, but never got the chance. I saw "Yellow" years later and got the two mixed up. I wish I'd seen this movie sooner, so many actors I've become familiar with on television or on the silver screen are in here: Sung Kang, Roger Fan, John Cho and Parry ShenIt's weird seeing them all so young! Except for Sung Kang! The guy is almost 40 and he still looks like he's in his later 20s!

martino d (fr) wrote: I thought this could be a good move. It had an interesting premise, not exactly an original one but still interesting none the less. Going in I believed this was going to be a movie about a robot learning emotions and becoming human...... NOPE. Despite what the trailers tell you the plot of this movie is that the singers of Die Antwood need money so they use the robot to plan a heist. If the singers of Die Antwood being the main protagonists of this movie turn you off then this movie is totally not for you. I've never seen a more horrible performance from an "actor" besides maybe Paulie Shore in everything he's ever been in. Now I like Neill Blomkamp. District 9 being my favorite film of his and I do actually really like Elysium. Chappie on the other hand is one of the worst movies I've seen in a while and that's because of the performances. Sigourney Weaver does a fine job, and Dev Patel is actually really good, the problem is though that he isn't the main character. And Chappie isn't really either. I honestly think they spent more time with the singers of Die Antwood than they did with the robot Chappie himself. I can't recommend this movie to anyone. Now of course this is just my personal opinion and if you enjoy this movie or want to see it then that's great. For me I don't think this movie is worth the watch. If you want I totally recommend District 9. I can't recommend Chappie though. If the singers of Die Antwood weren't cast as the main characters, the movie could've been a little better. But the plot of having the robot who's learning to be human plan for a heist is kind of dumb. I wish this movie could've been like a Robocop, but instead the robot is full robot instead of the robot/human hybrid, and solving crime in the city of Johannesburg. Sadly that's not what we got and I wasn't impressed with what I got, and unfortunately I think when I see some potential in a movie and it turns out to be utter crap, I'm deeply disappointed.
