(de) wrote: La Otra Familia is an engaging film. It deals with some of Mexico??s social problems. I would have liked it to be more realistic ?? some of the topics are not dealt with realistically in a society where extreme machismo and religious censorship are the norm. It is full of clichs. Most of the actors are pretty believable except the boy who gives a pretty soulless performance. I did enjoy the movie and admire what it sets out to do.

My kid is 7. Did you ever get stuck on a movie at that age and just watch it again and again? I favored Pete's Dragon and Pee Wee's Big Adventure (not Big Top Pee Wee, that movie blew).

(au) wrote: Nowhere near as good as the first and i didn't really even love that. Although, there ARE some corkers.

(gb) wrote: Disappointing sequel to Westworld that is at its best when trying to ape the original. The main plot though is dull and the climax uninvolving and tedious.

A really good cast comes together to sell the madness. Lots of good anti-communist paranoia, too. And eventually, it has a somewhat pro-science message, which I fully support.
(es) wrote: Glad it came out - funny as the series and offers a great tribute to the fans.
(gb) wrote: The movie was enjoyable and had some really good elements, but it just didn't get to that "great" point. I loved the scenery and sets, the villain was great and it had a good story. If they managed to cut this movie down to 2hrs I think it would have made it a better experience. 3.5/5

(br) wrote: Well acted if not a slight tale of a young and an affair with Errol Flyn. Urged on by her ever so pushy mum. Kline was spot on and Fanning and Sarandon were good
