Francisco Q (gb) wrote: One of the most stylish action movies of the decade! Keanu Reeves returns as one badass action star and gives one of the best performances of his carrer. The story sets perfectly one hell of a promising future franchise that will become much appreciated by the genre fans and by the public in general.

Jayesh K (nl) wrote: Totally awesome movie , now i can officially say IMDB Ratings are crap , utter BS , :poop: , i am glad i gave it a go , found another awesome Halloween movie (y)Amazing art style , even though Mattel might have made this movie to promote a toyline , they did hell of a job to give a fine movie to the viewer , guess this was to be expected since Mattel do have successful product movie outings , Hotwheels acceleracers was awesome :D

Dawn K (gb) wrote: WOW! I barely have words for this...one of the most amazing movies I have seen in a long time. Heartwarming, full of love and family and just how easy IT IS to actually talk to God.

Zack B (ag) wrote: Gus Van Sant's minimalist style saw the height of its power in 2003's Elephant, a film which used that particular style to the most hauntingly moving effect. Last Days, his next film, utilizes the same long takes and following shots, but there is nothing to hold out for like Elephant. Still, even if nothing really happens in this film, I found certain things about it to be emotionally compelling, such as the shot towards the end of the film which shows Blake presumably (and nakedly) ascending to heaven in the reflection of the window. There's another shot, just after Blake is shown dead, which shows Lukas Haas absentmindedly playing a slow tune on a guitar in the back of a car, as if playing a prematurely rehearsed last homage to Blake. The downward spiral is apparent, and the vast emptiness that permeates the film gives us an idea of just how empty Kurt Cobain's life had to have been for him to commit suicide. Overall, it's an interesting yet demanding experiment.

James H (it) wrote: Not a bad movie... I called it a "The Departed"/ "Four Brothers" wannabe - until I realized that this was done YEARS before either movie came out! This movie really should have gotten more exposure than it did... I just found out about it thanks to Netflix recommending it, and it looked interesting... I'm glad I saw it..Was a good story, with a great local South Boston feel... Got a little confused throughout the movie on which character was on whose side, but not enough to ruin the movie...Donnie Wahlberg gave a great performance (dare i say "the Right Stuff LOL), as did the rest of the cast... Will Arnett was good, but I kept expecting him to do a bad magic track (ala his character on Arrested Development)...Some parts were a little predictable (Ma's fate, Donnie's decision at the end), but thats ok - the rest of it wasn't..I just saw that it was an Indie/low budget movie -- I wouldn't have known it -- great cast, great scenery, and a good story... Wish there were more like this...

Eric N (ru) wrote: Pretty much one of the best movies of the decade - outrageous I didn't see it until 2014. Makes for a good follow-up to one of the best tv series ever made - John Adams (HBO)

Dan M (us) wrote: Sir Ian McKellen shines here as a really old Sherlock Holmes, and it's always great to see him take command of the characters he portrays. While the story might not necessarily be my cup of tea, McKellen makes it worth watching nonetheless.
