Jesse Ventura gives a first rate performance in robotic acting, but the real awarding winning actor in this so bad it's good movie goes to Sven Ole Thorsen. You may remember him as LaFours in the movie Mallrats. He didn't have no dialogue in that entire movie, but here he does and we can see why he shouldn't be given speaking roles. He's best as a strong, silent type. The movie in general is nicely shot, but the story and even the acting is so laughable. Makes for a great bad midnight movie.

Martin V (fr) wrote: A total classic from the 80's, great action sequences, great practical effects, and acting, nice story, and pretty memorable quotes, "get to the choppa" and people who dislike this must be kids or stupid, movies likes this are few this days.

Then years later i came across Ralph Bakshi's name on the net and i found a list of movies he had made and Coonskin caught my attention. I found this film intriguing to watch because of the way it made fun of the black exploitation films and the message the film was trying across to the audience. I look forward to viewing more of Ralph Bakshi's films and I hope he keeps making them as good as this.

James C (jp) wrote: Awful airplane disaster movie where I recall only 3 pilots being killed by a small plane collision, the passenger plane has a massive hole in the cockpit yet pressure and speed is of no concern. ridiculous and boring

Peter A (gb) wrote: The conflicts\ironies often drag out too long and the difficulties are solved too easily by huge fight scenes and John Wayne puts the surliest grouches of all time to shame, but it ends happily and satisfyingly. Not a great western but great westerns are never this fun.

Panta O (nl) wrote: Two music industry documentaries in two days, and I could not find two of the more different! This documentary directed and produced by Ramona S. Diaz was a real Cinderella story of the famous band Journey and its new lead vocalist Arnel Pineda, a Filipino who comes from a poor neighbourhood, abandoned by his father at the age of 13.The film is focused on the band and Arnel, the new singer, during the Revelation Tour in the United States and Pineda's homecoming in Manila, Philippines where they performed in front of 25,000 people. Revealing, warm, and entertaining 105 minutes will make you appreciate the opportunity this young man got to finally leave the miserable life and poverty behind him! Very energetic performance but the screenplay was very shallow. Luckily, there was the Journey music to fill up the gap. Charming Pineda stole the show - and I am extremely happy for it. Try to watch it!
