One of those little gems that I can curl up on the couch and let myself be carried away by. I just loved everything about it. I originally found it by searching for movies that Elizabeth Reaser was in. I really like the roles she chooses. I am so happy that I stumbled across this wonderful movie.

(kr) wrote: Truly a masterwork, CAPTURING THE FRIEDMANS, explores just about every issue that could possibly face the notion of family. Never taking the easy route, filmmaker Jarecki guides us but never tells us what to think. What is "the truth?" What happens within the family dynamic? How can one close knit family living in a house in Great Neck experience everything so differently? Having now seen this film about 10 times, you realize its brilliance lies in the way the film grows and changes with you. The unanswered questions I had on first viewing are totally different from those I experienced now. The central "theme" that I thought was so present has now been replaced by another. Like its characters' dilemna, the film posits the audience into a world so subjective, "truth" can no longer, and most importantly, never existed. A stunning achievement!

(it) wrote: A great B-movie. While the plot is schizophrenic and the characters poorly written, the one thing that can be said about Ninja III: The Domination is that it is never boring. It's shot surprisingly well, the action is good, and there is always something happening. The title is dumb, the script is bizarre, and it's one of those movies that just sounds so bad on paper, but it's an enjoyable mess.
(gb) wrote: "Late Spring" is way more of a comedy than I expected it to be (unless of course it's not, and my untrained American eye depicted it as such) and tells a very simple story about 'past' (parents) and 'future' (spouse) family. The problem I had with "Late Spring" is that the daughter of the story seems insanely schizophrenic even though she is presented as not having any sort of mental illness at all. Maybe this is just my untrained eye not understanding erratic mood swings of women, but I'd like to give both myself and women more credit than that. The problem with the mood swings is that it left me confused and wondering what I missed when I wanted to be focusing on the problems the film seems to be trying to have us follow.

I say Ocean(TM)s Eleven meaning that it really started out like one in the series. The music, Location, The character/storyline setups, and heck it even had Andy Garcia. But somewhere between a chainsaw and a kid with numbchucks it turned into it(TM)s own movie. And that movie was great. The Casting was amazing and probably was my second favorite thing about this movie. Andy Garcia, Ryan Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Alicia Keys, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Peter Berg, Common, Jeremy Piven, Chris Pine, Kevin Durand, Mathew Fox, and if you got Booger? from Revenge of the Nerds in your movie you definitely can(TM)t lose. A well put together piece about a hit? and who(TM)s gonna claim it first. Simple yet complex at the same time.Comic Book Movie Plus: Ben Affleck - Daredevil, Kevin Durand - X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds - Green Lantern & X-Men Origins: WolverineNudity Bonus: Janet Edwards: Naked Prostitute (19:42/26:52)(T)
