Simon G (mx) wrote: A combination of Bob Dylan and Larry Charles is a match made in heaven. Cameos are awesome, took me six months to figure out Mickey Rourke. Love this film, love it. No I don't know what it's about either really...People and animals I guess!

David J (gb) wrote: As long as audiences know not to take the film seriously at all, its a fun flick where Jet Li beats up on bad guys and supporting characters provide entertaining dialogue. Li and Aaliyah look comfortable on-screen together.

Greg W (fr) wrote: not one of preminger's best but great cast gives this some fuel to go.

Martin T (au) wrote: Strikes an odd balance of moods. Whether focusing on the untamed wild of the bayou or the complicated workings of the rig, the tone is simultaneously wondrous and dangerous. The balance is felt in the ebb and flow of tension in the narrative, the music, and the luminous cinematography. Even the way the actors are constantly smiling no matter what the circumstances adds to the unsettling-yet-bubbly atmosphere. The story itself is a bit thin and unsatisfying, however.

Nathan R (ru) wrote: For a movie that's 56 years old and relies solely on classical music, Fantasia is still an entertaining spectacle for both eyes and ears. Though it's definitely not for everyone, the animations are stunning and diverse through its many sections and leave viewers interested. The movie could have done without the pointless "Meet the Soundtrack" section and the Dance of the Hours segment left a little to be desired, but for the most part the animators created some gorgeous work and included some classic scenes like Mickey's first film appearance in The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Adam R (ag) wrote: A cute story that I mostly enjoyed. I wasn't a fan of McSquizzy and the squirrels. Some of the humor was overly juvenile, but it was otherwise a fun movie. (First and only full viewing - In my early twenties)

Johnathon W (it) wrote: Fun but flawed Christmas comedy that works thanks to a great lead performance but suffers from a miscast director. Murray is at his leading man best, playing Frank Cross as a complete scumbag at first with a smidgen of a heart and is always fun to watch, whether mercilessly firing an employee on Christmas Eve (and thus avoiding paying is Christmas bonus) or reacting to the ghosts of past, present & future. He gets nice support from the rest of the cast, particularly Bobcat Goldthwait as the fired employee who slowly goes thru a nervous breakdown. Behind the camera, director Richard Donner keeps the story going but his style doesn't fit the story. The art direction comes off rough and a director like Tim Burton would have been better suited for the material. Overall, a fun Christmas movie, mainly for Bill Murray's superb performance.

Francisco S (de) wrote: The Devil Wears Pada is nothing more than a cliched movie, with a overused final message, with a not original script and with a predictable direction, whose even the great Meryl Streep performances can't outwit.
