It's not a classic, but worth watching for fans of Tourneur, Scott or Ball (and I suppose Mature if you're a fan, which I've never been). Tourneur actually manages to make the gorgeous Scott seem even more glamorous than she normally seems. That being said, Ball is a very good counterpoint to Scott's icy beauty and the film is strikingly directed by Jacques Tourneur. There's also the team secretary, Lucille Ball, who's in love with Mature. It's a not so interesting story about aging football player Victor Mature deciding between retirement or continuing on to please his demanding wife, Lizabeth Scott

loved this film!. this story was like a puzzle I was dying to solve, so I payed close attention to the clues that get sprinkled throughout; I was never bored and the comical bombs that are dropped every now and again definitely keep you alert and entertained. . . Don't let the film's slow-pace fool you though. I loved the dark/dry humor that you catch glimpses of through its minimal dialogue, which keeps you guessing about how this quirky love story will unfold. "Gigante" did not let me down. Absolutely brilliant!! The only thing I knew about this film when I picked it out, was that it had won awards at the Berlin International Film Festival, so I had no expectations, just hopes

Skip it and you'll have nothing to feel bad about. This pile of crap would be found right at home at 3am on the Lifetime Channel with it's terrible early 90s dialogue and ill-researched jargon taken right from some producer's Minecraft-playing child, if it weren't for the grating dubstep soundtrack and generic tension building "professional" score accompanying the entire mess. Even the denouement falls hilariously flat with a resolution you've already seen in a hundred other movies. At the end of its hour and a half run you're left with nothing but the bitter taste of anti-tech and anti-government propaganda. Borrowing bits from Enemy of the State, Hackers, The Net, Eagle Eye, and a slew of others, this film doesn't do any of them justice. Another "tech heavy" movie written for mouth-breathers and eight year olds

This film doesn't deserve a 49% Chlo Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore did a great job

Barbara Stanwyck is very, very good in her role, but Robert Ryan's tortured, sadistic film projectionist steals the show (and, for a while, Stanwyck). What makes the film so remarkable is that all the characters, the heroine included, are flawed (if not doomed), and in the end it amounts to a quite bleak vision of the modest, perfectly reasonable ambitions of working-class people in a small town. One of the most emotionally tense films I've ever seen; based on a Clifford Odets play, it inhabits an odd territory somewhere between Douglas Sirk and Emile Zola

See it if you get the chance. I am hard put to remember a better film with less likeable characters. Very good revenge western with Mads MIkkelson unleashing hell in the strangest burnt out town I've ever seen whilst the bad guys seek to do the same to him

And, no, a mediocre documentary can't do a good movie. A very bad movie about very bad and uninteresting journalists
