Nancy W (ag) wrote: Utter rubbish! ''epic action adventure'', this film should be taken from the shelves under the trades descriptions act for misrepresentation.

Aamir J (fr) wrote: Such a strong story line should have been better directed

Simon B (ag) wrote: Trying to be like many teenage-movies. It's not funny, the characters is boring. I don't recommend this.

Vincent P (gb) wrote: Just try to ignore the Day of the Dead 2 moniker (as this couldn't be any farther from being a sequel to Romero's movie) and it's almost not a waste of time.

Eric H (fr) wrote: This movie is simply dead in the water in every way. Avoid it at all costs, please. Let the makers know what they did to the world by making this movie. Have mercy with yourself.

Mike V (nl) wrote: I really enjoyed this movie. I loved how they demonstrated each others family background. One (Salma Hayek) from Mexico and one (Matthew Perry) from the United States. The cultures are so defined and they show how opposites can really attract. There are a lot of similar formulas for the RomCom, but that is to be expected, because it is a RomCom. Besides Hayek the acting could be better, and the writing could be more developed, but overall there are tiny golden moments, that make it worth it. It drags in parts, but the moment it starts to get tedious, something happens and it makes it worthwhile.

Chris D (it) wrote: I used to like this film, apart from all the racism. Now that I've watched it again, I've realised it's lame. Nothing much happens until the end and that's the only good point of the film.

Matt S (mx) wrote: A lot of fun. Gil Bellows, Renee Zellweger & Rory Cochrane are great...superb soundtrack...features cameos by Reverend Horton Heat, Peter Fonda and others.

John B (gb) wrote: The Second World War continues to be a great source of film material and this is an important addition to that collection of film..albeit one that isn't overly compelling. A tiny conflict within a larger one.

Clyde W (it) wrote: Terrific. I just saw this for the first time on TCM right after watching Suspicion (which I had seen many times). It was fascinating seeing Carrie Grant play this sort of role. The movie has some clever humor but is overall somber. A good way to spend time while in bed with a cold.

Jim F (fr) wrote: Dustin Hoffman was adorable in this movie. Even when everything was not going his way by losing his job, being told by his ex wife that she wants custody of the boy,, i just loved the way he would lose his cool each time. Acting perfection. Unfortunately in life it is all too common for a hardworking man to his whole life taken away from him by a whimsical, selfish woman who cannot accept that sometimes life is boring and wants change. The only difference in this compared to real life is that she couldnt completely go through with it. If only my wife could come to her senses the way Meryl Streep eventually does

Anthony I (kr) wrote: Hard to watch and will leave you feeling very depressed. But truly, this is a fantastic first picture by Oliver Stone. His script is magnificent and Alan Parker's direction is even better. The performances are top notch, especially from Randy Quaid and John Hurt. Great movie.
