Thor: Tales of Asgard

Hungry for adventure, Thor secretly embarks on the journey of a lifetime, joined by his loyal brother Loki, whose budding sorcery equips him with just enough magic to conjure up trouble, along with the Warriors Three - a band of boastful travelers reluctant to set sail on any adventure that might actually be dangerous. But what starts out as a harmless treasure hunt quickly turns deadly, and Thor must now prove himself worthy of the destiny he covets by saving Asgard itself.

The Norse god Thor (Matt Wolf) begins a quest with his brother Loki (Rick Gomez) to find a legendary sword. However, that quest would prove more challenging than the prince anticipated as grave perils and agonizing moral choices arise. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Mike C (br) wrote: Basically a Lifetime movie. Not a horrible premise but nothing new or interesting. A couple of gay guys escape from the madness of NYC city life to enjoy the serenity of a small Connecticut town. One of the men is a teacher who takes a troubled student under his wing. Redneck janitor daddy sees it as something more and out come the accusations. So it's not a horrible story but it plays out sooo predictably. The lovers begin to quarrel as their lives fall apart from the accusation. The accused has a hidden past though it's basically nothing. The kid runs away from home and makes a dramatic return. Some say the supporting cast is great. I think mostly the entire movie was flat. Again, Lifetime-esque and definitely a lower-budget flick. The point of the movie is obviously the gay lifestyle and what it means in smaller communities. Rights are addressed, and the obvious scorn of anything different is highlighted. But just because it is so damn predictable, I was able to read throughout and still keep up with the story. And for that, it's a 5/10.

Not only will you see and hear the man behind the camera, you will also look into the making of those beautiful movies from years passed. The movie also carries a great message about loving your job and about relationships.

It's not an activist-oriented left wing film that screams at you in order to change your mind. Instead, it educates. Quietly, simply, and with love.

Matthew D (mx) wrote: I was never one for Star Trek time travel stories, which usually feature little sci-fi space action, add nothing to the series overall plot or character arcs, since everything has to be put back in its place, and features the same themes (avoid changing the timeline). Having said that I'm not sure the attitude of gay abandon towards continuity here is preferable and the examination of environmental issues is different but not subtle or nuanced, rather going for the banging you over the head approach. However, placing the message in a film this fun was the right way to deliver it. The fish-out-of-water (and sometimes in water) comedy shows once again the flexibility of the franchise, just when it could've been starting to get stale. It may be preposterous, but it knows it, and that's part of its charm; the earnestness and refusal to take things too seriously (when not talking about the treatment of whales), combined with the charisma of the cast make it hard to dislike.
