Zachary R (us) wrote: This was a good sequel to the first movie and one that once again I enjoyed as a kid. This film even though not directed by Don Bluth was still done very well. This film starts off with Carface in heaven talking to some evil person about stealing an item. Once we get further into we also see Charlie who is bored about being in heaven because he is missing something that he feels, which is excitement. Also we learn that Itchy has died and gone to heaven as well, where Charlie tells him of his problems. Meanwhile Carface, steals Gaberiel's horn which is the horn they use to open the gates of heaven to let the dogs in, but foolishly he loses it in the heart of San Fransisco. Annabell(The Angel Whippet from the first movie) asks Charlie and Itchy to go retrieve it, much to Charlie's wishes and Itchy's grumbling dismay. We also learn that Carface was trying to steal Gaberiel's horn for a devil cat named Red, who wants to use the horn to put heaven under his own power and influence. While lackidazically looking for the horn, Charlie and Itchy run into a stray dog named Sasha, who is looking after a runaway boy named David, who left home because of his step mom. David wants to make rich on Cannery Square where tourists give money, Charlie agrees to help him instead of looking for the horn much to the pestering of Itchy. Can Charlie find the horn and help David? This movie even though many didn't consider it better than the first one, I did because this movie to me was seen as a redemption movie for Charlie to make the right choice to ones he cares about. This movie also shares a good message of caring, religion, and fun just like the first one. This film also gives good voice acting from everyone and I can sincerely say that I thought Ernest Borgnine was a better Carface than Vic Tayback, but taking nothing away from Vic Tayback who was a good voice too! Charlie Sheen also pulls off a good version of Charlie as well. I give this movie 10 out of 10.
