Kristin R (ag) wrote: What a yawn fest. I don't really know what I was expecting from this film, but just as well I was not expecting much as I found this to be one of the most boring films I have watched in a looooong time. A lacklustre role for Simon Pegg as well, this part did absolutely nothing for him.
Cynthia S (au) wrote: I watched this with my daughter, and we both enjoyed it. Very much an enjoyable, British, teenage, romantic comedy...but really well done.
Dave M (au) wrote: If I have to see one more movie about a dead kid, the hunt for the killer, and the killer's own inner struggle; I'm gonna vomit. More wasted talent than ever with this fugly looking film. Why would Phoenix, Ruffalo, and hottiest of hotties Jennifer Connelly sign up? And Terry George decides to follow-up Hotel Rwanda with this? Bad decisions all around. What kills me more than anything is the trailer's poor attempt at build up of drama and tension and then we cap it all off with a (gasp!) gunshot sf/x. Lame goddamnit. Lame.

Andrew T (de) wrote: Incredibly boring movie. Not particularly scary with the exception of one scene which was genuinely creepy. The rest of the film feels like a made for TV movie. The dialogue is incredibly hokey and not in a fun campy way. The main character feels like a stock character from every 90's teen drama. I could have forgiven it's many flaws and it's inability to be scary if had at least been entertaining. But it wasn't, at all. You are much better off watching the 1978 version which is by far a superior film.
Justin C (gb) wrote: The action is pretty good throughout the movie and the story wasn't bad. I was really enjoying it until the dramatic fight with Donnie Yen at the end of the movie, then it just got kind of silly.
