Ken S (us) wrote: The appeal of a Kevin Smith movie is not that he directed it. Nobody cares if he is directing a movie or not, what makes his movies so appealing is the writing. If someone else was directing his scripts, they'd probably still be good...because the vulgar monologues about nothingness are the appeal. This movie is written by the Cullen Brothers, and while their script isn't horrendous, it is an average comedy. Starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, both of which are playing the same character they always play. Smith's direction is nothing special, as is to be expected. All around this is an average comedy, playing on the whole Buddy Cop genre, and lacking that spark of dialogue that makes Smith work so worthwhile. I think I'm a little worn out of the comedies that look like everyone is trying so hard to think of a funny line too.

Anthony T (ag) wrote: this movie was funny as hell... watch this movie with like 6 people and just look at all the mistakes made.... keep a look out for Dreadlock man disappearing from the movie in the middle of a montage.... a guy cocking a gun that doesnt cock.... then shooting the gun from the same spot twice and having it hit a robot from different directions... HILARIOUS

Chris D (nl) wrote: The true story of Sonny Liston will leave a sour taste in your mouth - cheap direction, laughable boxing action, poor acting (neither Ving Rhames nor Nicholas Turturro can carry a movie of this magnitude) and dialogue that doesn't quite fit the time period...he deserved so much better than this.

Kitty M (ru) wrote: It's ok..But like a lot of other movies with a different name & different actors.

Jacob N (kr) wrote: Mr. Sayles is living on a reputation built in the 1980s. The cast of this movie is very good but the movie is a satire without substance, causing the viewer not to think how the government is screwing the environment on a regular basis, but rather ask the question, "why am I watching this movie and why do I case what happens at all to these characters?"

Wendi J (fr) wrote: Thought this was a "real movie" but it's just a stupid Hallmark creation. Has "chick flick" all over it. Don't bother unless you're into stuff like Bocuse D'Or or the pastry competitions and have nothing better to do.

Neil M (gb) wrote: Shot in film verite style with no narration, this film was a harrowing experience. It was like being shunted into Gaza for 24 hrs...not a pleasant trip, but director Longley never lets the viewer grow jaded, or remote. If you can: try to watch it on the big screen, rather than video.

Michael Y (jp) wrote: Good performances by the leads. A bit too melodramatic for my tastes.

Simon C (br) wrote: Any film which involves Nannies, Chinese spies, a fight in the Natural History Museum and one very large dinosaur on the back of a lorry is worth seeing!
