Matty M (ru) wrote: Veronica Mars 2014 movie is a great movie for Veronica Mars' fans. I'm a big fan of the TV Series, and honestly was rather interested to know how they were gonna make a movie after all this time that connected with the show. They did a beautiful job reiterating the series as the movie began and bringing in the reunion of the cast to start the movies story. I loved that they brought in a lot of the original cast from the series which made the movie feel as a nice continuation. At the rate of how the movie went there's a nice bit of room to even possibly bring a sequel out of it. I also love that while watching the movie it still felt like the tv show film style, very good job.If you're a Veronica Mars fan then I'm certain you can appreciate the movie, I believe they done a great job bringing it out. I cannot wait to add this movie to my dvd collection.

Ian M (au) wrote: This is quite possibly the most retarded movie I've seen in a long time with the ugliest Dummy, 'special' brother, and incestuous murdering sister... Bizarre... Can I get back that two hours of my life please?!

Shiela E (nl) wrote: This is supposed to be a Halloween episode, but it doesn't really have anything to do with the holiday. I usually love Pooh, but this one is mediocre at best. the second cartoon is actually a little better than the first one, but not much.

Gary K (ca) wrote: It's kung-fu in mom jeans when Kristi Jones, a waitress who moonlights as a street fighter, sets out to avenge her sister's death. In a city where everyone is a martial arts master, the white guys wear mullets, the black guys dress like extras in Michael Jackson's "Bad," and Asian kids dress like James Dean, Kristi must fight her way through increasingly ridiculous set pieces to find the perpetrator. There's not a slo-mo technique, spinning kick or attempt at over-acting left out of the mix. Truly a gem in the bargain bin best enjoyed with a group who appreciates the absurdity of this movie's earnestness.

Brett H (us) wrote: Robert Rodriguez's extremely low-budget debut is completely solid with a style all his own and has a great story of mistaken identity. The ending was by far the strongest point and was actually quite tragic but there's plenty of entertainment before that.

Wes S (de) wrote: Incredibly cheesy looking monster, but even the bad camp of this film can't save it. The characters are terribly boring, and the plot is slow and uneven. The monster doesn't appear too often. Mostly a dud, but still a pretty laughable one.

Mike B (es) wrote: Where desperation is allowed to fester, morality suffers. As lack of opporunity condemns those with few possessions and fewer prospects to fight each other for the same meager scraps, morals become platitudes, condescending lashes wielded by self-righeous patricians. By the time Antonio is reprimanded by a haughty and well-dressed young Roman before the eyes of his son, Bruno, the viewer can't help but flinch at the harshness of such heavy-handed words. If this spectator had only watched the rest of the film rather than a petty sports contest, the viewer imagines, he'd have more compassion and understanding. But how could Antonio, standing before his saucer-eyed boy in disgrace, even begin to explain the convoluted chain of events that make his actions seem so justified? There are no bad men, only desperate ones.

Adam R (mx) wrote: Who knew marching band could be so intense? Drumline is a fairly formulaic drama, which isn't a bad thing as it mostly knows what works well. It does cross over into being a little annoying at times, but I liked it more than I thought I would. (First and only viewing - 9/2/2014)

A self-contained story, full of semi-realistic action, violence, fun, firearms, women, humour and even a bit of Bond history. Liked it. This is probably my favourite Bond film running neck to neck with Live and Let Die (1973). Is it coincidence that this is the 23rd of the series (you have to know me)? Excited to be so close to catching up on this series. It's taken over 50 years.
