Top Gear: The Perfect Road Trip
The aim: to select the ideal mode of transport for each leg of a pilgrimage from Venice, Italy to Pau in France – home to a legendary street circuit and the origins of Grand Prix racing. On the way we prepare by taking to the track at Monza – the home of Italian Formula One. We try to get noticed on the road course in Monaco in a Bugatti, a Lamborghini and a Model T Ford. After cruising the canals in Venice we take to the tarmac and things look good - thanks to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Mercedes SLS Black. Throw in a Pagani Huayra, Porsche Cayman S and a GT3 as well as the Aston Martin Vanquish centenary edition, Bentley V8 convertible, Rolls Royce Phantom coupe and the face-bending BAC Mono all seems pretty perfect to us.

(nl) wrote: The film is filmed in a simple way, showing the bare truth of the day to day struggles in areas of poverty. It really opened my eyes on how much more appreciative people are in the simplest of things that we take for granted every day. What struck me the hardest was the blow of poverty in childrens lives and how it robs them of an education to pursue a dream . This film did a very good job of capturing all of the emotions from the people of that rural town and made such an impact on me.

(au) wrote: Beautiful & bittersweet movie seen through the eyes of Raimond. Based on the memoir by the same name. Raimond's mother is mentally ill and his father tries hard to raise his son while dealing with his on/off relationship with his wife. Eric Bana & Franka Potente did a fabulous job, but really the whole cast was excellent.
(kr) wrote: This film is TERRIBLE. The only reason I rented this was Amanda Peet, and she was outshone by horrible acting, dreadful cinematography and an asinine script that had you reaching for the stop button 10 minutes in. Only reason I kept going was to see the Peet, who comes in about 1/2 way through. Avoid this film.btw, the twist is Amanda Peet's character is a "scammer" just like the guys and wanted to play them at their game.AVOID!
(br) wrote: Horrible idea and execution with Nielsen as the only slightly redeeming element. It fails to do what Nielsen's other slapstick movies excelled at and that's hammering you with a constant range of gags and letting the weak ones tide you over to the decent ones. The decent are far too few and long gaps break any goodwill those that worked can carry.

(de) wrote: The sets look reasonably impressive, but the story is an unimaginative ripoff of Home Alone with some plot holes, the acting is rather amateur, the humor sucks, and the characters themselves aren't very likable at all. One of Disney's weaker comedies.
(gb) wrote: I had completely forgotten about this movie! I loved this little dinosaur trilogy of movies when I was a kid, of course I haven't seen them since, so I'm rating it as I would have as a kid.

(ca) wrote: Anthony Mann's direction is the only highlight of this justifiably overlooked, but biting example of film noir. It's a little too dark (visually, that is) at times for its own good, the acting's weak and uneven and watching Ward Cleaver kiss someone is just odd. The low budget and weak script definitely hurt Railroaded but it's worth checking out if you're an Anthony Mann fan.
(ru) wrote: Based on the conditions of the working poor in Rome and a real-life Angelina who was smart enough to realise that she wouldn't get very far in government, the film is in some ways apolitical, and interesting result given that Zampa supported the PCI. Still, worth a look.
(jp) wrote: Terrible script, terrible acting, all I can think of is when is this film ever going to finish. Like the ending!
(de) wrote: Billy Casper Has Come Unstuck in Grime--Gritty slice-of-life drama, powerfully handled by all concerned!!
