Filme de beleza perturbadora

Not to mention the whole flesh eating crawlers part, that keeps it perfectly disturbing and adds a good few jump scares in there too. This movie really plays with people with fears of heights but especially claustrophobia. We watched this for a movie night in the dorm and everyone loved it

A hilarious film that will make you feel better about yourself, no matter how messed up you may think you are. Call me crazy, but I love Stuart Smalley

Alastair Sim is delightful as always but special mention should also be made of Harry Fowler who is perfect as the hero, Joe Kirby. A refreshingly original movie that is enjoyable from start to finish

Not as good as the first, the animals make it funnier

Although it's a bit heavy on the clichs (lucky captain Jack has a slower, older ship, but of course he's a smarter, better seaman), but the underdog story really works, there are a few good set pieces and some interesting subplots (particularly the one with the jinx). Impressively well-made actioner about the rivalry / personal vendetta between the captain of an English marine ship and the captain of a much faster and better equipped French ship

A Love To Hide must not be another foreign gem or highly historically important film to go overlooked by American audiences. The film's cast packs a punch, even right down to the bit portrayals of Nazi generals and soldiers, which are inducing of great anger. The final 45 minutes are actually physically stunning. However, the story itself is increasingly riveting as it goes on. This is all unclear. She causes a lot of emotional pain and grisly violence to happen to people in this film, and she never appears to be feeling guilt or regret, perhaps because of the dense factor of her character's selfishness that would cause her to either care too little or not realize her follies. Frankly, I felt like I was supposed to care about her, but I was so angry with her for how deeply causal she is in nearly every violently sad thing that happens. It just isn't. Are we not supposed to like her very much, or are we supposed to and the fact that she is selfish, greedy, cold, and manipulative is overlooked by the writers or meant to be forgiven? I wouldn't mind if the answer to this question were clear in the film. The film has one effecting flaw, one that matters greatly to the reaction of the audience to the story, and that is simply the character of Sara, played by Louise Monot. The film very clearly realizes the importance of the long-anticipated awareness of it all, and it's very important that people see this film, whether it's perfect or not as a movie. This intense and powerful film portrays gays and the effects of their lives upon their family and in the German occupation. Why is this subject such uncommon knowledge amongst people? Even history buffs are barely privy to this horror. A Love To Hide is about the treatment of homosexuals during WWII and how it was equal to the hideous torture and massacre of the Jews

All in all though, there are still great traps and some stand-out scenes (most notably John's 'recruitment' of Hoffman) so it's by no means a waste of time to fans of the series. The pacing of the film is jarringly slow compared to what the audience has become used to in this series, and I feel that is another flaw of the film. However, there is so little focus put on the main 'game' in the film that it appears to be an after-thought, and I think it should have been better developed and thought through. Tobin Bell is phenomenal as always, and the character of John Kramer AKA Jigsaw is a fascinating one to explore - even after his death - so the flashback scenes are legitimately great. I'm basically guaranteed to enjoy anything SAW-related, but this is admittedly one of the weaker entries in the series
