Traces of Death

This successor to "Faces of Death" collection is a collection of archive film and borrowed stock footage. In its opening you see the death of a woman named Maritza Martin, who was gunned down by her ex-husband on Spanish language television. We then witness British SAS troopers storming the Iranian Embassy in 1980, this is followed by a police chase of a criminal in a pick up truck and the deadly finale. It then goes to footage of animal experiments with a grizzly scene of a live pig being burned alive with a torch. Autopsy footage is then shown of an Asian individual. We are then shown a very graphic presentation on a male to female sex change operation. One interesting scene has a man who had his nasal cavity removed and replaced with a prosthetic, the footage is most interesting and worth the price of admission.

Michael C (fr) wrote: Great movie on the essence of Karate. A must for any martial artist. Top notch fight scenes with no hint of wires, mysticism of CGI.

Krystin G (de) wrote: It feels simultaneously classic and new.

Trevor B (au) wrote: Easily Jet Li's best American film. Yeah it's brainless in the plot department, but its also brutal and violent, stylistic, and has Li showing off his best moves against an army of bad guys.

Steve S (ca) wrote: An interesting movie to watch if you are completely bored, its mid week & regular boring TV is on strike or sumfing!!!Crappy, tacky picture quality with cheap & nasty visual effects (if you can call them that lol). But surprisingly I watched it till the end and even managed a laugh every so often. Two bum holes singing a song, now thats different - some of the musical numbers weren't too bad like 'What to do if you get a boner in the shower' lol...

Grant S (ca) wrote: Very weak, populist, adaptation of the famous tale. Plot is full of holes and doesn't follow King Arthur legend very closely. Not at all gritty, concentrating more on contrived, unconvincing sword-fight sequences and flowery, empty language than on any substance. So devoid of any substance, if it was made in the 2000s it would have been directed by Michael Bay!Acting is incredibly unconvincing. Think John Wayne trying to do Shakespeare. Shallow, hammy, machismo actors reciting lines they hardly understand.Even the presence of the stunningly beautiful Ava Gardner can't save this.If want to see a good adaptation of the King Arthur legend, see Excalibur (1981) instead.

Ashley H (ru) wrote: Life with Father is an excellent film. It is about a financier from New York who rules his numerous family, consisting of his wife and his four sons, with the meticulousity of a bookkeeper. William Powell and Irene Dunne give fantastic performances. The screenplay is well written. Michael Curtiz did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the humor. Life with Father is a must see.

Zinia G (us) wrote: Bogey and Bacall are superb!

Chris H (es) wrote: Utter garbage, an insult to the already lousy original. Uninspired, void of a single scare and tame even by PG-13 standards. Quite possible the worst horror remake and I've seen both Black X-Mas and April Fools Day.

Zick N (br) wrote: Only for the dances, even though some parts are just repeating patterns.
