Track of the Moon Beast
Professor "Johnny Longbow" Salina, a man who really knows his stews, introduces Paul Carlson to the practical-joking Kathy Nolan. Paul and Kathy seem to hit it off rather well but, during a meteor storm, a meteorite fragment strikes Paul, burying itself deep in his skull, which has the unpleasant side-effect of causing Paul to mutate into a giant reptilian monster at night and go on murderous rampages. It turns out that this sort of thing has happened before, when Professor Salina rediscovers ancient Native American paintings detailing a similar event many centuries ago. Kathy, however, still loves Paul, and tries to save him.

Scarlett Johansson was being sweet and the graphic humor by Topher Grace was funny. Dennis Quaid's performance reminded me somehow of Steve Martin's. Its a very innocent comedy which could have had a better ending. The problem is that it doesn't fill all the expectations it gives you in the beginning, and after all is said and done in the film, it really doesn't say a lot.. It's a nice movie though, although I will probably forget it in a day or so.

It was really fantastic to see this world of cinema all over the world, this various films, this stares, imaginations and this world all come into one fantastic documentary piece with narrative bearings.

(br) wrote: Pretty effing good story about milking purple potatoes for chips. Two brothers with frenchie names living in the border town in the maritimes, played by englishes, wish they were living in a more english place named Boston. The whole thing smells too much like potatoes and one brother breaks free of the regular mold to get into drug deal mold. The film is down-to-earth good like potatoes well chipped, which I wish I had. We kind of see that the rot is so prevalent, drugs getting bought from old guys and exchanged for cash, etc. The film holds its own, english-wise. The end is frenchie. It has a small town feel. The dramatic end was to come. No way this film, with this tone, could have ended well. Great time all around! haha!
