(kr) wrote: To call it a cult comedy is no exaggeration. The story takes us through a series of random events happening in no meaningful order and the lead characters trying to navigate their project througr. The movie is full of linguistic and cultural nuances that audience from outside Tamilnadu might not get the full experience of the film even with subtitles. There are no side kicks in this films, everyone has a character that when the judge says , 'putundutha, umakku raasiye kidayathum oi!' you even sympathise with the lawyer who appears in only one scene. Our own version o 'Pulp fiction'!

(us) wrote: 93%Watched this on 2/6/15Brick is a great neo-noir murder mystery which is surprisingly set on High School background but portrayed with so much maturity that you find it hard to believe that all these characters are actually kids. The visual flourish and direction are spot on and the film is too fast paced that I had to often hit rewind to actually know the entire stuff. It reminded me of Guy Ritchie's Snatch and the film has a fine performance from Joseph Gordon-Levitt and also the leading ladies are all super hot. Like Looper, the film also creates quality visuals with mind blowing small budget.
