Bill T (mx) wrote: Fascinatingly bad film made just a wee bit before Griffith became a huge star (just before this, she was in Something Wild, and just after, Working Girl). This is a bit of a Blade Runner knockoff, about a world with men, preferring Animatronic sex dolls over females. When his sex doll breaks down, a shlub hires a tracker to get an exact copy, because you know, he has a memory chip for it. So off they go. And the usual cheap apocalyptic chase scenes begin. It's pretty bad, and Griffith is probably worse.

Shawn M (it) wrote: Up Series - GENERAL REVIEWGREAT, GREAT, GREAT series to watch these movies...started watching them all in order in 2007...(by coincidence one of the subjects ends up living in Madison, WI!)So very interesting to watch this non-statistically-relevant social experiment unfold...Reality TV before there was Reality TV...We see a little of ourselves in each on of the characters and family...A masterful editing of subject matter, to get the audience to CARE about each of the subjects and APPRECIATE things from their lives...Ebert puts this series in his all-time top 10 or even top 5 lists...I agree...A must-watch for anyone over the age of 25...

Andrew I (kr) wrote: A little-known gem of a noir, this benefits from being told in a straightforward linear fashion. Andrews is slightly reminiscent of Cagney and the fight scenes are well done. The 87mins playing time fairly flew by.

Bront Y (mx) wrote: I've seen this movie about 4 or 5 times now, so I'm surprised I've never rated it before. I first watched this on netflix having heard of it, but not really knowing what it was about, and I just fell in love with it. It's so easy and natural and funny with just enough drama, and I love all the actors in it. It's one of my favorite movies and I think it's a little underrated. And the soundtrack is good too!

Stina S (jp) wrote: Not as scary as I thought it was going to be, but not bad

Serge L (it) wrote: Very funny right from the start but the story is a bit strange. This is not your regular love story, not linear at all. It is actually getting quite difficult mid-film. You can throw romantism through the window. The english teacher still ends up a bit selfless and delusional in a nice kind of way, with some sexual appetite rather unfulfilled.
