Even the nude lovemaking scenes fail to arouse because we realize this relationship, based solely on unbridled "lust at first sight", is horribly problematic. As for the ending, I would've prefer more definite resolution than we're offered.

Rajneel S (mx) wrote: If there's a movie that needs to be remade then this is it - a very engaging, highly urban and endearing action comedy about a newbie, wannabe hitman who can fight, but can't kill being pitted against a Yakuza crime ring and a mysterious super-assassin. Jet Li - again - is at his best playing slightly clueless nice guys who get into trouble and this time his co-star Eric Tsang matches him beautifully. The fight sequences are quite good as well. In fact the film only falls apart thanks to the typical curse of 1990's Hong Kong films - inconsistent production values, cartoon-like bad comedy and sudden, surprise appearance of wire-fu. Find the subtitled version and watch it for a great dose of silly Hong Kong cinema.
