Ryan L (de) wrote: When it comes to the entire Zombie Apocalypse genre, it has to have a fresh spin on things. This is not that. Nor is it exactly a Zombie Apocalypse. It is however a mass social media experiment with subliminal messaging that has infected an entire world. How, why? I don't know... This flick shouldn't have taken itself so seriously, and played it up to our now unlimited resources of making things Pop.
Laura Bingyan X (gb) wrote: The problem is we walk away with questions still unsolved, and the connection between Tom and his lover was even weaker than the beginning of the film. Why would Francis do all those things to Tom? Did Agatha finally know who Tom was? Did Tom love his lover more or less after all?

Chloe L (us) wrote: There is a line in Stephen King's "Pet Semetary" that pretty much sums this movie: "Cats were the gangsters of the animal world, living outside the law and often dying there."Felidae takes us inside that brutal world, and as the protagonist of the story Francis warns at the beginning, it isn't pretty. At first glance, Felidae looks like a children's movie. The rather flat animation and the fact that the main character is a cat makes this look like a throwback to older Disney animated movies. However, when Francis comes across the mutilated course of a local cat, setting the mystery into motion, it becomes clear that this isn't Disney. This is your basic film-noir murder mystery with a good helping of foul language (for a cartoon anyway), sex, and loads of gory violence. The main thing that sets it apart are that all of the characters are cats. Humans are rarely seen, and when they are, their faces are rarely shown (only once, in a dream sequence I think).Does anyone know who did the voices in the English version? I heard a rumour that Carey Elwes did Francis, but I couldn't find anything supporting this. A mystery in itself...A good movie to check out if you are in the mood for something other than your standard American fare (Felidae is German). Strange movie, but I really enjoyed it.

It stars Elijah Wood, Rainn Wilson, Alison Pill and Jack McBrayer. I laughed out loud a few times, especially at Rainn. If you like the cast or genre, then give it a shot.
