(gb) wrote: Harvey Keitel, looking creepily like Karl Kennedy from Neighbours, plays a sax-man who gets shot in the lung. This is a strange love story that unfurls into an even stranger thriller. It expands the same world of Paul Auster's novels. The film is literate with many levels to explore, especially the theme of Pandora's Box, both the film and the Greek myth. A film to trigger many conversations...
(gb) wrote: Deadly Friend certainly isn't one of Wes Craven's better films. The acting is pretty bad and it's not on the same successful frightening horror level as Nightmare On Elm Street, but this film wasn't awful! It's awful cheesiness is surprisingly entertaining and it has one of the best death scenes ever! I think the film is a bit misunderstood, anyone that tries to take this film seriously won't make it through, but to watch with a sense of humor and understand it's obvious intent on being cheesy and silly horror shenanigans will find a bit more out of it. Otherwise, it is a forgettable piece of horror trash.

(ca) wrote: What this quasi-sequel to 'A Fistful of Dollars' lacks in relative excitement to the first film, it more than makes up for in production value with a budget that I'm sure had a....few dollars more???Kill me.
(es) wrote: a charming, yet underrated story, with the makings of a childrens classic. its got good morals, a story that will keep kids glued to the screen, humour and above all its heartwarming to know it was based on a true story. i like how it starts and ends with real life people, as it adds that air of storytelling, and connects the audience more to the truth of its realism. its factual, yet fun and well made. i would certainly say it would compare to rival giants disney, and it gives kids a little education along the way, so its a mystery to me as to why its not so known about. it is perhaps a little slushy at times, but lets face it, most family films are! loveable even if you wouldnt want to admit, it left me smiling throughout. and watch out for the woman at the end, that got me 'ahh'ing!
(us) wrote: Horrible trashy court room drama. I was surprised that Madonna would agree to it. The judge was perhaps the most painful aspect, she was horribly directed. The whole case should have been thrown out for contempt.
(de) wrote: Hate films like this but didn't hate this as much as I thought, But I won't be watching it again.
(ca) wrote: Tries to improve on the first one with more visuals and gags, but fails to capture the spirit of it's predecessor.
(ru) wrote: One of the most bizarre comic book films ever made, Tank Girl boggles the mind. The story is incoherent, the acting's piss-poor, and the special effects are crap. While Lori Petty brings a lot of charisma to the role, the script fails her. The film is out of control and isn't able to deliver on the action or the comedy. Tank Girl has no focus and ends up a jumbled mess of craziness.
