David C (ru) wrote: Excellent movie. The story is great and so is the acting. There is no better actress that could play the part of Tiffany better than Jennifer Lawrence.

Alan K (us) wrote: Have yet to get more than 20 minutes into this flick. Not sure where it's going, or if its any good.

Private U (ca) wrote: This very slowly paced drama doesn't seem to be sure of exactly what it wants to be - a police drama or character drama and the direction seems haphazard as we cut from the young woman and how she is coping after the shooting to the constable coping with his hearing problem, his relationship with a fellow police officer and him dealing with the various characters who turn up late at night offering information. Some have called this a thriller but if that's the case someone forgot to tell novice writer/director Matthew Saville.

Evan W (fr) wrote: One of the worst Christmas specials I've seen, characterized by poor animation, annoying songs, and flat characters. Okay, you don't expect much from a special like this, but still.

Edward B (it) wrote: There are some movies that are so bad they're good, and then there are those that are just plain bad. Vampires Anonymous falls squarely in the latter category. All the jokes fall flat. There are very few scenes that are even entertaining, regardless of whether or not they work. I kept thinking to myself that this might have made a pretty decent movie if they just tried to make a serious horror as opposed to a trashy comedy. Cuz there is nothing to laugh at here. Just cringe worthy scenes that leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Shawn W (it) wrote: Another Leslie Neilson comedy from writer Pat Proft, who also wrote Police Squad!, the Naked Gun films, and Mr. Magoo. This one spoofs several hit action films from the era, namely The Fugitive. I've always enjoyed Neilson, even in serious roles, and this one has its moments but is a hit and miss film in terms of the jokes.

Johnny T (it) wrote: The film is full of gratifying gags like these, but it also has to strain for newly enlarged scope. Director Jonathan Lynn has had his hits (My Cousin Vinny) and stinkeroos (Greedy). Wacky is just the right tone for a spring comedy. This falls in between. One of the pleasures of the movie is all the little jokes hidden in the corners. 'Sgt Bilko' moves along at a headlong pace, with Steve Martin cracking one-liners without even drawing a breath. Martin's aggrieved expressions and sublime physical bits are constantly entertaining. VERDICT: "Matine" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matine prices to see at a theater or buy an ex rental or a cheap price the DVD to own.

Richard S (mx) wrote: A dark horse British film about multi-culturalism. It shouldn't work half as well as it does simply because it covers too much ground. However, it is the conviction and honesty of the film that carries it. Excellent.

Jane L (gb) wrote: I've never been a fan of the musical as a whole, so I suppose this movie isn't for me.

Zane T (br) wrote: A murder mystery set in Saigon during the Tet Offensive of 1968. It's a nice idea but a poor execution, considering this movie using the law of the the most extraneous character to be the killer. I'll give you a hint. It's not Scott Glenn whose character is mainly a glorified cameo. It's the one person who seems to be in the movie from the start for no other reason than to be the bad guy. This movie has a few good scenes such as how the South Vietnamese felt about the American presence in their country during the war and the hostility. But this movie doesn't focus on that. Instead, we get a by the numbers muder mystery. Seriously, even if they are Army CID, wouldn't they have M-16 rifles when they are dropped in the war zone during the Tet offensive.
