David W (es) wrote: Kinda like an OK Spanish language Lifetime movie meets Boogie Nights. The image looked slightly squeezed on my TV at home and the subtitles cut out for awhile in the middle. I can't think of any other movies I'd compare it to but I did enjoy it. Not for kids or the overly sensitive.

Karthik C (es) wrote: Athadu is definitely a far better movie than its grossing numbers say. It is easily the best movie in the career of Mahesh Babu in my opinion and this would be the same opinion of a large percentage of people who watched the movie despite watching his other commercially better hits later in his career. Never a dull moment fueled by excellent screen play and dialogues penned by Trivikram Srinivas. And as always Mahesh steals the show. So does Prakash Raj.

Lots of alcohol is consumed and weird things happen. Excellent acting from Korpela especially, even though this is not exactly "Katsastus", no matter how hard it tries.
Rick v (au) wrote: It's not very much my kind of movie. So it's really well-done that I without any doubt liked this movie - the intrigue of the characters is painted on the screen with passion. It's well-put together.
Nick M (gb) wrote: Dumb, obscure 1980s comedy doesn't get anymore dumb or obscure than this. Fairly entertaining for sure, but I'd only recommend this movie for anyone nostalgic for some John Ritter action-- which I was.
Ricardo V (nl) wrote: Tom Hardy is the best stiff robot actor ever!! In general he's a good actor. Everyone in this film was a great actor, even the supporting minor role actors. Seeing James Gandolfini in one of his final pieces of movie work was satisfying to where you miss seeing him in further movie roles. The drama, suspense and buildup was spot on. Screenplay was clear; no confusing moments or no need for nonsensical expositions. You're always wondering where the movie will go next in plot. Amazing how I did not see this movie in theaters sooner, just slipped under the radar. If I knew about it, would have definitely seen it in theaters. And if you're an animal lover, definitely a movie for you.
