Dustin G (de) wrote: Of course the first thing one wonders when watching a documentary about Roger Ebert's life and career, is whether it would've made his best of list if he were alive to see it. As a celebration of his life, and to an extent of the movies themselves, this is a moving, touching and ultimately very sad snapshot of a very influential voice in entertainment. The thank you of the year.

Chris K (jp) wrote: Don't rent it, buy it or watch it! After 30 minutes I felt the same as the soldiers in the film..i was ready to kill them out of boredom!!! Dodgy Camera effects that get really annoying, Very Low Budget and looks it. Not a thriller or a horror film, I don't know what it was supposed to be, but i know what it turned out like.

Piotr J (de) wrote: A disturbing story of 4 brothers from So Paulo. Very direct and very believable. How much you have to fight to be good, decent person...but you may struggle on the way.

John S (it) wrote: This is worse than a continual kick in the nuts.

Guido S (kr) wrote: In a world with Game of Thrones on TV, this film is interesting. Coming at a time when fantasy was pretty much non existent in mainstream media, it is an interesting piece of film. Dennis Quaid is a knight who befriends a dragon and is on a quest to dethrone the king who has gone crazy. It's not really much deeper than that. The characters aren't as well developed, the world isn't all that fleshed out, and the villain is more of a joke than a threat. The CGI, while good at the time, really has not aged well. In today's world of fantasy with GoT, LoTR and others, this isn't very good. Young viewers might like it, but more seasoned viewers might find this one lacking.

Michael I (ru) wrote: I laughed so hard at the scene in which an inmate said "Take a hike" and another inmate said "Suck my shit".

Ryan B (ag) wrote: One of the worst movies ever made.

Patrick A (br) wrote: Considering the source material, a misfiring, "Monty Python in Space" mess. If you like a mindless comedy instead of Poul Anderson's take on "Cortez Takes Down The Aztec Empire," by all means see it. (But even Adam Sandler could make a better movie, not to mention Ed Wood!)

Zachary L (au) wrote: An old school HK film which brings you back to the 90s era but nothing extremely memorable. Stephen Chow puts on his usual performance but honestly his other 90s era movies were better. The general plot was alright with it's buddy cop story and fighting over the same girl while at the same time dealing with a criminal threat in a comedic manner.

Breanna P (nl) wrote: Not good. If your History teacher says "We're going to watch a really good movie on the beginning of the Vietnam War", DON'T BELIEVE HIM!

Andreas O (us) wrote: Campy as all hell, but my love for stop-motion prevents me from disliking this entirely. The movie has a couple of cute moments, but overall it's quite pointless.

Garrett K (mx) wrote: Call it boring for the extended version's three-hour runtime. Call it generic for including the same relative concepts as its two breathtaking predecessors. Call it the same old spaghetti western for having the same tonal score and mesmerizing backdrops; The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is an absolute masterpiece that stands the test of time.

Mark V (ca) wrote: I'm still working my way through HL's films. Each one I watch makes me appreciate his comedic genius even more. HL's frustration with the typewriter is a hoot; running from the landlady ($3.75 for overdue rent) is a scream; and the police raid on the speakeasy is just hilarious. Watch for the great backflip on the staircase. His hiding-in-the-coat gag never gets old. The cops do a Rodney King on one of their own, which is funny in this context. And, of course, Harold gets the girl (Bebe Daniels) in the end (literally next to the boozing cops - it was Prohibition after all!). The more I watch films like this, the more I realize just what junk is in theaters today. Now, onto "The Kid Brother."
