Featuring a superb performance from Martin Compston who is fifteen and is out to make money anyway he can to provide his mother somewhere to live once she is released from prison. The film starts out with the feeling that things might change for the hero, but as time moves on the protagonist never stops digging a hole for himself that you know he won't be able to get out of. Uberrealistic with the locales and the dialogue is in English but the accents are tough to decipher so subtitles are provided.

James H (jp) wrote: 40/100. The main problem with this movie is that it never ever convinces. It is a familiar story and not even well done at that. The acting is never believable, the characters are shallow stereotypes. Predictable, too often slow moving and even the music isn't good enough to spark life into the movie.
Chris W (gb) wrote: Rather schlocky and low-budget, but the concept presented is well done. Set before man ever made it to space, the film handles the subject with a great deal of paranoia and fear, of course resulting in a man who becomes encrusted with cosmic dust and is essentially a walking monstrosity. And the ending dialogue is far more profound than one would expect out of just another sci-fi B-movie from the 1950's.
