Meghna P (br) wrote: Decent watch. Can't say it was particularly transformative or witty but good for a slow evening.

Grant S (jp) wrote: Interesting vampire movie. Reasonably original and edgy. Starts and develops well but loses its way at the end.Solid performances all round.

Jana S (ag) wrote: Just watch this last night. An unexpected gem. The story is super simple, takes place over a few days. But all the characters are real an deep and over the course of those few days, their world is completely upended. In the best way possible.

Hunter H (us) wrote: It's probably one of the worst sequels ever I love first speed but this one is not even what the first one was and it does not have the same cast so there is one of ur main problem also just not a good plot and just boring

Dane P (mx) wrote: Inventive for its time. But like 2001 they really want to let the effects soak in with a slow pace.... Unlike 2001 these effects by today look campy by today but I find them insanely charming. Some of the sets look amazing! Its an important movie part of our pop culture and the first of its kind

Grant S (kr) wrote: A mildly interesting take on the American Civil War, and its effect on the civilian population. Poses some good questions on the morality and reasons for the war, and picking sides. More particularly, not picking sides, and the consequences thereof. Problem is, it doesn't really answer these questions. Maybe that is the answer, that there is no solution, but some degree of attempting an answer would be good.So-so plot. Historically inaccurate at times, and many of the battlescenes seem quite contrived and/or flawed. Could also have been grittier - sometimes felt overly folksy and idealistic. Being made in 1965, however, I guess the producers couldn't be too graphic or tough-minded. Decent performance by James Stewart in the lead role. However, hardly anyone else gets a word in...

Kevin C (mx) wrote: Better than it has any right to be. It's like Shawshank redemption meets Poltergeist meets Friday the 13th. Has an, for the most part, excellent cast, interesting characters, a cool story and concept and some great gore effects. Prison is far and away one of the best lost gems of 80's horror I've ever found. There are so few really cool, well done horror films around this time period that it always blows me away when one sneaks under the radar. IF you are a fan of horror than you need to do yourself a favor and check this bad boy out. Very creep, gory, fun, over the top stuff.
