Simon D (ca) wrote: dubbed one of the scariest films of all time, or at least one of the most disturbing. It's not, the Japanese seem to have that covered already. This is disturbing for one or two scenes, the rest is a pretty typical 80's horror, but one of the better ones I'd have to say.

Tara H (de) wrote: Classic study of greed in 50s New York, with a caddish Tony Curtis and a chilling performance by Burt Lancaster. Susan Harrison is wonderful as the 'femme fatale', and Barbara Nichols is also very touching. Razor-sharp dialogue, and filled with evocative shots of the Big Apple at night.

Comprehending the main character's motivation was difficult, just because her experience is so far removed from my own, but they did a good job conveying it to me. The costumes and set design was beautiful and was probably my favourite part.
