Paul D (kr) wrote: Several stories set along one baron and often dangerous road. Some are more interesting than others but the exaggerated set of characters do entertain.

Lee G (ru) wrote: Yeah, it's unpleasant but there's too many plot lines going at once that water down the entire movie. And for a story about crack use in the inner city, there's not much to show. I suppose the filmmakers are trying to show how crack use affects so much more than just the users, but a lot of the plot lines are wasted on melodrama, and gratuitous violence and sex. The whole film is disjointed and you feel cheated at the end.

Joe M (es) wrote: An interesting film, about those who were at one time, and probably still are the best at playing video games. This film is not as good as "The King of Kong", however they both came out the same year, so that is a neat fact. However, "King of Kong" kind of gives the viewer a good vs. evil, and a hero to cheer for. This film just tells the story of these people were once featured in Life magazine for being the best video game players, and were they are now in life, and what it was like. How the industry has changed, so it is a different film. If you like "King of Kong", and what some more knowledge or see other people in the industry. Then I highly recommend this film, otherwise don't bother, and see "King of Kong" first.

Lindsay T (jp) wrote: The music, I could do without, but the rest of the film is quite beautiful. Additionally, I had the opportunity to see this movie presented and discussed by the director, who also showed a short documentary on the saving of the paper film archives at the Smithsonian, which was very interesting. Good stuff for archivist and early cinema buffs.

Dan J (br) wrote: I was smoking marijuana cigarettes when I put this in. Saw the case and thought it was a boxing movie from the title. To my surprise it was f***** hilarious. Great original movie! "I'm gonna get you Connie!"

Ben S (br) wrote: A fairly good example of a Lau Kar-Leung film in so much that it's completely fucking ridiculous. I love the "fights" though the almost complete lack of an ending seemed odd.

Bob W (it) wrote: Documentary style epic about the decolonization period of late 50's and early 60's specifically in Algeria. It portrays the guerilla warfare, terrorism, torture and counter-insurgency in the capital city. The music, acting and direction are superior. The film has inspired similar movements and is required viewing for understanding similar movements even today. One of the most important films of all time.
